Strength:

Good Mid / High range

Weakness:

Bass shy

I bought this pair because of the great looks and and it was
a totally brand new set at bargain price. It goes well with my Aragon Palladium II monoblock .

There is nothing much to complain about except for the bass
which I think is a let down. The overall quality built is excellent and I think the newer version 906 is nowhere near in terms of looks and performance .

It's a good buy anyway you look at it.

WOW is right, this is an amazing product!!!
If you are in the market for a speaker in this price range this is an absolute must audition. Why?? Because it makes the Totem Model One Signature sound muddy!!!!!! Yes, it is that good. It has excellent transparency, resolution, soundstaging, depth, etc. It is very, very musical.

Any against, maybe a little too much bass bloom, but that might be the warmth of the newly revised YBA gear used.

associated equipment:
YBA 3 cd player, preamp, and power amp (all alpha , and the latest versions)
MIT cabling

5 stars for this price range!!!!!!!!!!! ($2000-3000)

I have heard the Electra 905 and 915 by a dealer in the same listening room. The 905’s sounded very nice, fast, smooth, uncoloured with good bass for the size. The 915’s did go much deeper, but they also sounded a bit coloured in the lower regions, when compared to the 905’s. Maybe the 915 is more critical about placement. I am not shure which speaker will be the best for my fairly small room (about 20' x 20'). I am looking for a home theater system, maybe the 905’s will do in combination with a SW33 sub. By the way, does anybody know if the SR 30 surround is a dipolar or a bipolar speaker? The manual is not quite clear at this point and it makes some difference. Who has experience with a home theater setup with Electra’s or can give me advice? For the time being I give 4 speakers for the Electra 905.

Last week I had a chance to audition Electra 905 and others with similar price level. What I've done after that is buying the 905 and having them in my home. I'm totally satisfied with these guys which let me be aware of further pleasures of listening Bartolli. Inverted tweeters of them are really unique and sound happily. The design is solid and beatiful...And this one is not so critical with amplifiers. My one is Honor A-900 integrated which is Korean origin (Taekwang Electronics) with 90 watts per channel. Great amp & Great speakers! Great combination! Now I give 5 stars for Electra 905. Thanks JM lab.

I had the chance to listen to these speakers and they are awesome!!! The set up was all YBA it was like being there in the studio room. These speakers have excellent bass for there size and great dynamics. They were compared to ProAc Response 2S and the B&W Nautilus 805. The Electra's destroyed the competition.

Strength:

Sweet highs and midrange, excellent imaging and soundstage

Weakness:

Tight bass - but not much of it ( compared to full range speakers )

The Electras 905 are highly recommended. Very involving sound and musical. If you are head banger you will be disappointed - but the sound is very refined. Limitations - not a full range speaker but definitely a top speaker in the 2-way range / mini monitors market.

Strength:

very open, transparent and dimensional sound

Weakness:

a bit too laid-back but precise bass-range

No question: the 905's are superb sounding little and livingroom-friendly speakers. If you are bass-fanatic combine them with a high-quality subwoofer.

Strength:

Soundstage and inner detail don't seem to get much better then this.

Weakness:

Need a Subwoofer for home theater, but what speakers don't are far and few between.

Well here it is folks it don't get much better then this. Don't forget the subwoofer it's not really there weekness it's part of the packages. The ATC's and Obligetos from Angstrom were just as good but we brought these ones home. I wish many more company's would stop giving hifi a bad name buy selling hi price as "hi end". Thanks JmLab for making it right.

This is a follow up to my review posted earlier.
I have really grown to love these speakers both for their musical ability and for their intergration into my Home Theater set up.

I am an Audio person by nature... listen to way more music then I watch the TV so my speakers had to be first and foremost musical. These are fantastic with music, and no surprise here, they are excellent in the Home Theater set up to. T Rex is certainly in the room when coupled to the Velodyne HGS-12...stuff on the wall rattles and the branches breaking and crunching are right there!

One word - Awesome !
