Strength:

Soundstage, bass, build

Weakness:

a little dark in character, sensitive to placement

This is a very good monitor speaker. Good bass, nice treble, sweet maybe not that detailed. Use some silver cables to alleviate this. The midrange is the best part in this speaker. I listen to Loreena Mckennit, Sheila Chandra and Sarah McLaghlan. And am really enjoying the music. The speakers weighs 25lbs each. Place them on good stands and slightly away from the wall to get very good soundstage and imaging. The bass is good for a speaker this size. The speaker has very good control so people may think it does not have 'air' but I think it does fine. I can tell it is very transparent because with system changes or for better recordings I can see the output reflecting it. See www.soundstage.com archives for a professional review.
My Equipment -
Pioneer DVD525/MSB Link DAC
Silver Bullet 4.0 Interconnect
Audio Refinement Complete Integrated Amp
DH-Labs T-14 speaker cable (single run. I think I need to get a thicker cable for better bass).
