I’ve owned since 1998 when I purchased them brand new and they still rock like they did back then! Can’t come pair to any other speaker but I’m more than completely pleased with this product! I payed $2500.00 only because one of the speakers had a cross over short otherwise they were $3000.00 a pair. Weakness:
Can not think of any weaknesses Price Paid: 2500

Years later....These O3's still rock. Looking for another set for an older reciever which is coming back into service again once I can locate a pair. I have not found a better speaker for the price anywhere. If I can find them cheap it's a steal. They were worth the $2800MSRP back then and still are even though I didn't pay that. Definitive towers are 1k+ each and not in this speakers ballpark and I like those towers minus the cheesy cloth wrap on them. Who thought that up? PSB has a tower pair but they also will set you back well over 2K. You can compare these to anything in the price rangee and they are still superior. That is why Infinity grew such a wide cult base before Harmon bought them and pretty much ruined the name. The pair I have now are still in mint condition. The sound is bright and crisp. I have a powered 12" sub but if I want these have a bass dial on front and if you also move them closer to the wall they will give you too much bass with a subwoofer having 4 of their own.. Plenty of options for these as amps can turn on and off the sub also depending on what you are listening to. Flexible and 300W amp per speaker...I'm not sure what more one could want. An Audiophiles dream to tweak the mains as much as this. If you can find the Infinity center to match these which also has it's own tweaking dials to her, jump all over it. Solidly built and if you run the wires through the built in channel on the bottom they have there conveniently for all, there won't be any tangled wires. ;-) Setting up an 11.1 system with The Sub, Center, and Fronts set. Klipsch RS62II match up superbly in the rear so looks like Klipsch RS series will round out the rest nicely with their horn technology. |

Strength:
Sound quality is excellent. Wood grain color is terrific.
Weakness:
Might fall over if they are not secured to the ground with plastic strings. These are excellent speakers. They look beautiful on hardwood floors. They sound terrific for movies and all types of music. They don't take up alot of space, and they are an excellent value. Similar Products Used: Sony general purpose stereo equipment. |

Strengths include One of the best speakers a person can own. I bought a pair last year for $1200. (You can get them for about the same price now 1999). All I can say is, "money well spent." It is true other speakers may produce more bass, but they are hard to find. The highs and mids are a superior to all speakers that match the price and most speakers well over the price. |

Big Sound and great bass
Weakness:
mid-range loss(picky) I love them and would buy again. I am not a real techy but I think they recreate a great range of sound. They seem to be very versatile (movies, Jazz, etc) I usually like a softer / subdued sound quality but these are pretty bright. The brightness doesn't beat you up though just differnet than a Martin Logan or Vienna. I would say they are somewhere between Klipsch and Martins on the brightness scale. Overall I am very happy and have ZERO quality issues. |

Great sound, up until now
Weakness:
None, up until now Got a problem here. Anyone can chime in with possible solutions. The last solution, of course, is the repair shop. One speaker's mid/tweeter assembly has suddenly decided to produce almost no output at all. What it does produce is not, repeat NOT distorted, just really soft compared to the other speaker. Bass output does not seem to be affected. I have replaced them with other speakers and no problems so I know that the receiver is not to blame. NONE I JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT MY O3S ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. I JUST HAPPEND TO STUMBLE ON THE LAST PAIR OF THEM AT A LOCAL CIRCUIT CITY THEY WERE THE FLOOR SAMPLES AND JUST HAPPEND TO PICK THEM UP AT 600.00 A PAIR. I HAD SEEN THESE ON AN OLD CRUTCHFIELD CATALOG AT ABOUT 1500.00 A PIECE. I INSPECTED THE SPEAKERS AND ONLY SAW A COUPLE OF SCRATCHES ON THEM SO DECIDED TO DISH OUT 600.00 HARD EARNED BUCKS. KEEP IN MIND THAT I AM ONLY 19. |
