Weakness:

NONE !!!!

I have spent alot of time researching for the best home theater speaker package (Quality/Price). You cannot beat the money value with the quality you get. The Infinity HTS10 package kicks butt, yes you can go out and spend more money for Bose, JBL, or Polks, BUT WHY!!!! The HTS10's can conpeat with the best of them and still save you hundreds of dollars. What I am trying to say is, by picking up the Infinity HTS10 speaker package will be the best thing you probable will ever invest in. Trust me, you will not regret it...

Strength:

Complete home theater package! It gives you all you need to get your system running. Built in wall mounts. Great sub woofer

Weakness:

All the speakers are exactly the same.....It'd be nicer to have a better center speaker.

I've had these speakers for about a month and they've worked great. They're hooked up to a h/k receiver and a Proscan dvd. These speakers are perfect for dd movies and soundtracks. The subwoofer is more than enough to satisfy all the bass lovers. The small satellite speakers have built in wall mounts and work really well. I compared these to the Bose sets and these sound much more cleaner and tighter. They still sound great even at high volumes. You can't go wrong with this speaker package. It's worth every penny.

Strength:

Clean crisp sound. Nice design. Excellent, clean-sounding sub. Price!

Weakness:

Possible the design(if you prefer wood over that polymer plastic) but I quickly got over it.

This review is on the Infinity HTS20 package which is a new upgrade from the HTS10. It has a bigger and clearer center channel as well as a 12" 150 watt powered sub.
----------------------------------------------------------
These speakers were part of my first Home Theater package purchase after months and months of research and listening. My funds were limited so I couldn't get the Denon 3300 and the Energy Encores that I wanted. I decided I would get the Onkyo TXDS575 and the Energy Take 5. When I got to the Deerfield Brandsmart(see Frank - he's the best), I was ready to get the Take 5 with sub when Frank said "listen to these Infinity HT20's". Despite all of the research that I have done with the Take 5, I promptly bought these. They were cheaper than the others and they sounded AMAZING! I have a fairly large room, yet these small speakers(larger than the Take 5) and the 12" sub fill my room with explosions that rumble my stomach and music that sound sweet. I had this new system set up as Speakers A and my old 200watt beautiful-sounding Technic Towers set up as Speaker B. I switched back and forth to see whether the small Infinities could handle music like towers could and there was no comparison. The sub blends in beautifully and creates a gorgeous sound. I would recommend these to anyone starting out in Home Theater, but I would also recommend putting away the low-grade cables that they provide you with and get some Monsters. Considering the money that you would save getting this great system makes it worth it.

Strength:

Clean crisp mids & highs. Sub cranks out full solid, tight, punchy bass. Down firing driver! At such an affordable price you can buy 2 and connect via a Y splitter for some seriously pounding bass.

Weakness:

No off switch.

For the person wanting a good quality Home Theater setup at an affordable price the HTS-10 is the way to go. What's so wonderful about this package is that it comes with the powered sub -> BU-80 8" 75Watt powered sub. The price is truly great. I got mine from Circuit City for $575. The POLK and Bose was $999.

I auditioned the Infinity HTS-10 Home Theater package at Circuit City. The HT room was playing The Matrix on DVD. I listened to the POLK and Velodyne subs but frankly they are not as affordable. I was utterly amazed that the Infinity BU-80 sub produced such room filling bass that you could feel. We placed our setup on the 2nd floor Living Room and bang, it shakes the house! We watched James Bond's The World Is Not Enough and Godzilla on DVD. The Infinity HTS-10 delivered. It has more than met our expectations. The HTS-10 sounds fairly good when listening to regular CD / stereo music. The good thing about it is that there is a variable crossover which you must tweak between Home Theater and regular music use. The HTS-10 sounds great when singing on VCD/DVD karaokes.

At this price and quality and affordability I highly recommend the HTS-10.

Strength:

crisp highs, easy mounts

Weakness:

the speakers lack reality, and dependablitly

ok, this is not a bad speaker package, but when i saw that it had recieved perfect ratings, that sent up a huge red flag, and i decided to warn some of you out there, who like myself are trying to find out more about products that interest them.

so here goes.
this infinity package, looks pretty good, and sound very crisp and clear.
the center is not very realistic, but that can be overlooked.
the two main problems which should not be overlooked are.
1) the subwoofer
we have had more returns on that sub than just about any other product in our entire line at circuit city.
the stupid things just break or go bad, or blow.
all the time
seriously about at least 50% of the systems that go out come back with a bad sub.

2) and almost more importantly, there are much MUCH better sounding systems for the money.
right now there is a harman kardon package, which is 399.99 which simply blows it out of the water it is the hkts2, with a 10" 100 watt sub.
this system even blows away the bose am10 (although) that is not really a surprise.
but besides the harman, circuit city alone probably carries three systems that are cheaper than the infinity that are much more dependable and are all round better sounding and performing systems, for less money.

so before you go and buy this decent speaker package, MAKE SURE that you listen to a lot of other options, and make SURE that you get some kind of return policy or warrantee because that sub really does suck about being a good guy.
there you have it.

Strength:

Crisp sound, Flexible mounting,

Weakness:

Small Center Channel speaker

I bought this speaker set about a year ago for a home theater setup after listening to them at Circuit City. The sound is clear and strong when connected to my Pioneer VSX-D608 receiver.

Unlike the review below, I have not had any problems with the sub-woofer.

I have had the speakers up so loud playing the final scene of the Right Stuff DVD that it attracted the attention of my neighboors in the house next door.

The only disadvantage is that the Center channel speaker is not larger.

The speakers are good for a first surround speaker setup.
