Strength:
Good tight bass, exellent clarity
Weakness:
A little weak on the highs;spikes are cumbersome to adjust These are my first good speakers and I'd like to say that they are awesome. Nice design and lots of bass if you set it up properly in a room, you have to take your time and experiment on this. Listened to other similar speakers (ie Polk, Yamaha, JBL, Cerwin-Vega, Bose)and he RS5's blew them away hands down. Hooked it up with Pioneer VSX D608 receiver ,BU80 sub(thats all I need for extra bass 'cause the RS5 does the job). They're great for all kinds of music and I also use it for HT.Highly recomended for the beginning audio enthusiast like me. |

Strength:
Clear highs, excellent mids, lows are good.
Weakness:
None Got these speakers a week ago. The sound they produce is astounding(I'm not an audiophile). I hear details on my CD's I've never heard before. For HT I have CC-3 to match them. |

Strength:
clear vocal sound, high mids, carity
Weakness:
none to be found yet I had these speakers for about a mont now. The sound quality is excellent for the price. I compare the RT 800 and RS 5 at the showroom in circuitcity and the Rs 5 blew the RT 800 away. The RT 800 are good speakers but somehow when I listen to the RS 5 I can clearly distinguish the vocal and clarity of the song as compare to the RT 800. One bad thing about the RS 5 is the it does not sound loud when I sing kokeoke. But other than that they are great speakers. Similar Products Used: polk audio RT 800 |

Strength:
Clean highs & mids, value, cabinet height, looks
Weakness:
Non-fabric grills, fabric(lower front- good scratching post for the wifes #$&@ cats) For the money they can't be beat. As far as low end is concerned, a sub is recommended, but room size and acoustics determine whether you'll need one or not. Similar Products Used: AR-Paradigm-PSB, all of similar size/type |

Very good stereo imaging especially at the mid to high range when playing both music and watching movies. Not an awful lot of bass output when played stand alone but that can easily be rectified with a decent sub. In fact with a good sub, I'm using the Velodyne CT 120, the sound of these speakers is actually quite impressive. I've even gotten positive comments on the sound from friends who are patently non-audiophile. Considering the sound performance of the RS5s and the fact that I picked them up for $500, I have to give them 5s all around. |

Strength:
Extremely tight sound, great mids and highs
Weakness:
none These speakers are absolutely incredible for the price I payed for them ($400/pair @ Circuit City). I auditioned both the Polk RT600s and the RS-5s. Though the Polks had clean highs and deep bass, they seemed to be lacking somewhat in the midrange. On the other hand, the midrange is where I feel the RS-5s are strongest, along with excellent highs. The bass seems decent, but I haven't tested them much without my sub (Polk PSW 120) being connected. Overall, I rate these speakers as being excellent for all types of music. Great speakers. I replaced a Bose Acoustimas III series set with these and there is NO comparison -- the Infinity speakers put Bose to shame. Got them from Onecall which has as good customer service as Crutchfield at nearly half the price (not as good return policy though if that matters to you). Total cost with 2-day Fedex shipping ~ $500.00. |

Strength:
Appearance once you get the grills off. Strong mids, crisp tight bass, decent enough highs.
Weakness:
Grills are to crappy, plastic of grills is easily cracked and it then makes them even more prone to fall off. Could use more bass but with only one driven 6.5" what do you want. These speakers impressed me immensely for the value. I purchased them as a floor model at Circuit City for $149 each, an incredible deal! I compared them with the Infiniti model with one 6.5 and a powered 8 inch side firing sub, but I am starting to build a HT system and these fit my needs better. Furthermore, Infiniti strength is tight accurate bass that is not meant to rattle your chest, if that is what you are looking for in this price range Cerwin Vega is the speaker you need. I plan to eventually put a Sub with the system. I have not gotten a chance to test the full reproduction capability of the speaker as I am currently running a 4 year old Technics Pro-Logic receiver. However, for me sound reproduction on CD is great. In typical Infiniti fashion the bass is tight and precise. The mids are clean and accurate. Highs of course are open to discussion, as they always are. In this price segment however, this is the area that bumps up your cost, so for $300 a set these speakers performance in this area is unparalleled. Similar Products Used: Polk, Bose, Yamaha, JBL |

Strength:
Sound better than speakers costing twice as much.
Weakness:
Only available in Black. Hard to find. I love these speakers! Talk about bang for your buck. IMHO these stack up against any of the <$700 speakers around. Nice highs, mids and lows, although I'm running them alongside a JBLPB12, so that more than fills in the lows. But nice, clean sound, not overly sensitive to placement either. Try to get a deal like I did. I couldn't be happier. Similar Products Used: Bose AM5 |
