jamo 707i speakers have a very balanced sound. The bass goes down quite low and extended. I like these speakers.

Absolutely THRILLED with these speakers! Strong base, hits all the highs, can not be neat! I actually picked these up $1100 since the cherry wood line was discontinued but recently found a place that will sell the new 707 series (called the 7.7 for 1999--new and improved 707s) that will sell them New for $1100--a GREAT deal! Highly, highly recommend! Give me an email if you want the # to call to get them over the internet for this price.

After waiting almost one year I purchased the new improved 7.7 and in the meantime auditioning quite a few speakers.There were a lot of good speakers out there but I found the Jamo were for me.
I have bi-amped them with a Rotel 100x2 for mid/highs and AMC 150x2 with gain control for the bass driver.I have also the Jamo SW600e sub 100watts 2x10 inch.
The clarity yet soft mids produced were exciting and the firm bass produced by the 8 inch driver stayed in my chess cavity well after the music was turned off.
The finnish of these speakers is second to none and I give these the highest rating.

Strength:

Details and imaging; weighty, musical bass; excellent balance and revealing; very elegant styling;

Weakness:

Tricky with medium-small rooms; may tend to be boomy in low ceiling rooms; nothing else.

These speakers really did it for me. Blues and female jazz vocals just hide away the speakers. You'll need a higher end Amplifier for this one. One that will support a 4ohms spec comfortably.

In a S/S setup, this may sound a bit closed-in. Like running on 4th gear at 60 mph when 5th would be perfect. I run these babies off a tube pre/power amp setup. This is the gear it sounds best with, by far.

If you are serious about venturing into a higher end sound, without pawning the wife's 4K stones, look into this one. Although not really suitable for rap or rock, a definite winner for the Jazz/Classical genre.

I've been using my 707i's for two months and i can say i'm satsfied by the results.Especially the solid bass and the clear mids impressed me deeply,i know most audiophiles will disagree me but i think my AM-7's give better highs.The design shows the European elegance,the speakers are big but slim.Yes the WAF(Wife Acceptance Factor) is low but who cares when you're single.By the way the bi-wiring thing (as A and B) is cute (i have no such ears to tell the difference but an option is an option).Another point,i bought my 707's for $850 and i think it's a bargain (in Turkey Jamos are really well priced).As a result;if you are not expacting a miracle for $850,these two sculptures are really satisfying.

I had change to listen and test these speakers a week ago. I can say that, it is a waste of money. My old Sony speakers sounds much more better. The lack of bass and treble makes it unresistable. Shortly, I hate them...
