Colourless, good to look at.

May wear out the listener before thet do.

What terrific work horses! These speakers are tireless; attached to the end of my Yamaha RX9, they are superb deliverers of ''what you put in is what comes out." They are absolutely colourless. They seem to have no nationality (you certainly can tell that they''re not English). Virtually indestructable masterpieces.

Expensive.

I love these speakers. So much so that I own two pairs. I bought them new over five years ago. My first pair flank a 27" Sony Tube in my bedroom. The second set are used as the
surrounds in my basement theater. I use JBL's 4430's as the front left and rights. These flank a Stewart 90" ElectriScreen.
The soundstage is awesome.
I've seen and heard a lot of home theaters over the years, however, I have yet to hear one that can surpass this setup.

For people that love live sound. It is also correct and detailed!!Nothing to do whith stellars B&W 801/802N but a real audio masterpiece (there's a lot of 4425 all aound the best world studios....)
FIVE STARS

I own a pair of "stellar" B&W 802 Nautilus i use for absolute reference. I admit, the JBL are great loudspeaker: magical voice (powered by Mac 6400), astonishing dinamics, no great soundstage (i dont give a damn), but realistic sound and no colour!!. These are a true hi fi masterpiece. The better Jbl monitor i know, buy them and have fun whith music! (nothing to do whith 4411 and 4312)
