Strength:

High efficiency, extended dynamic range, rock solid imaging, 100*100 dispersion pattern, The ability to reproduce sq. waves. Very high quality drivers.

Weakness:

Lacking in the very deep bass, 35hz and below.

With millions of dollars on the line a recording studio will choose the best product to represent the artist’s abilities.
The 4430’s was used in this application. If you desire accuracy and a presentation that far exceeds the over hyped High end speaker.. Give them a try. They are available on ebay for between 700 –1500 depending on the condition .
These speaker play music with passion and W/O the horn distortion of the past In my opinion the L300 don’t even compare.

Strength:

Incredible dynamics and sound immersion.

Weakness:

So addicting you may go deaf.

First off, these are not the same horn speakers
audiophiles have loved to hate !!!

While these speakers have a few rough edges--I found
myself reinforcing the box and adding floorspikes--they
are the most exciting, fun speakers I have ever
experienced. A lot of people seem proud of the fact
that their speakers have high-impact, punchy bass--the
fact is the "tweeters", not just the woofers on the
4430s have "impact"!

Though fairly expensive, costing about $3000/pair new,
these are not overpriced, snooty audiophile speakers with wimpy soft domes. These speakers come with professional
15" drivers and musical-sounding Keele-designed biradial
horns. You actually get what you paid for, a rugged,
professional, heavy-duty transducer complement.

My monitors are used, about 10 years old - I bought
them for $900/pair including shipping on EBAY. If I had
to buy them new, I would probably get the 4425 monitors instead, or even perhaps the new JBL LSR monitors. This
is because the 4430s are really overkill for a home
setting. They are really intended for LARGE studios.

Oh, they play kick-ass loud too. For home theater they
are incredible. As a matter of fact, the same horn
(perhaps not with the same compression driver) employed
on the 4430s was used in a system designed for 30-40
row theaters. Check out www.jbl-pro.com
