No bass, treble is a bit hard

These small JBL's have been my surround sound speakers for about a year and they reproduce the special effects very well. I tried them as front speakers but there was no bass and the treble was a bit too much. Paid under $50.00 and got a good pair of surround sound speakers. No complaints.
