they are pretty good speakers they sound decent. the one thing I don t like about joseph audio is there speakers are made in Norway and they put them in good American made hardwood cabinets.so they are not really u.s. made speakers. But you can t fault the speakers only the company. |

I recently purchased my first decent stereo, and after auditioning several speakers (Linn, Thiel, Vandersteen, Dunlavy, Epos) I decided on the Joseph Audio RM7si (non-signature). The rest of the system includes the Rotel RA970BX 60 watt integrated amp, Rega Planet CD player, MIT T2 interconnects, a double run of Audioquest Type 2 speaker cable (soon to be upgraded to Cardas Golden Cross I guess) |

I have the RM7si Signatures, and I couldn't be happier. These are the best monitor speakers that I've heard at this price. |

Probably one of the best value for money speakers I ever heard. The RM7si signatures never fail to amaze me when I spin one of my records. Astounding soundstaging and depth. Delicious midrange. I can hardly think of any other speakers that can come close for even twice as much money (specially in the minimonitor category). I have compared them to Platinum Audio Solos, B&W CDM1, Gallo Nucleus, Sonus Faber, NHT, Tannoy, Parradigm ... and to my ear the Josephs were by far the best. I have them bi-wired with Cardas Golden Hex 5C (killer bass). My next step would naturally be the Golden Cross! The signature is definitely worth the extra $400. The metal cone and silk dome do wonders to those babies. Check 'em out. |

Not a bad speaker, but save a few bucks and listen to the B&W CDM-1SEs. |

Strength:
Extended very defined bass for the size, Great soundstage with excellent imaging and clarity!
Weakness:
Needs to be on a higher stand than most mini's I've owned the Joesph Audio RM7si signatures for two years now and find that they are one of the finest mini monitors I've heard. Similar Products Used: Spica TC-50's, Theil CS-2's |

Excellent value for the money. Bass is tight and extended quite low for a speaker this size, while the mids and highs are clean and smooth. Also check out the Signature version ($1,699) if your budget allow. |

After looking for speakers for my Golden Tube amp/preamp for about 6 months, I heard that Joseph Audio and Golden Tube had done an audio show booth together - and that they might be worth a listen. Wow, is about all I could think to say once I heard them in my system. Before buying the Josephs, I listened to VonSchweikert VR3's and VR4's, B&W 804's and 803's, Paradigm Studio 100's, Lowthers, Linn 5140's, and probably others that are escaping me. Needless to say, none of them held a candle to what the Joseph RM-7si Signatures delivered. I'd never before heard music with such clarity without shrillness, transparency with a realistic 3D imaging. I'm bi-wiring them with Nordost Blue Heaven, and don't have a complaint in the world. Happy listening all! |

Strength:
Imaging, midrange, bass great for monitors.
Weakness:
needs a subwoofer for lowest octave. I love these RM7si Signatures. The highs and midrange are as good as I have heard at this price. Bass is unusually good for it's size. I drive them with a BAT VK60 from a VTL Ultimate preamp. Top end is very smooth and yet alive. Bad source material can sound very ugly due to excellent resolution and detail. Great source material gives me incredibly real sound. An excellent dac is necessary for |

This is a report on a comparison audition I did at a local stereo store between the Joseph signature model and the Aerial Acoustic Model 5, a similarly sized and priced speaker. Audio Research 45 wpch integrated amp provided the power, and a parasound 1500 CD player was the source. The store used MIT interconnects, but I didn't get the model. The room was acoustically treated; the speakers were on stands well out from the back and side walls. Test material was a live recording of Keith Jarrett's trio, a recording of a classical soprano, accompanied by piano, Tracy Chapman's blues number, Just Give Me One Good Reason" from "New Beginnings" and the Chicago Symphony/Solit recording of Beethoven's 9th, made in the late 60s and re-issued on CD.Both speakers are excellent. The Aerial has a fabulous top end, but has a slight mid-bass emphasis that I did not care for. Both speakers have excellent imaging and convey a great sense of depth in the recordings. |
