The KEFs were among many at Ultimate electronics and they played against Klipsh and others of similar or higher price range.
I was amazed at the efficiency of these speakers and their abiity to put out a clean full spectrum sound.
Very well balanced and since they were on sale I got them for around $500 for the pair.
I have recently had a chance to directly compare them to some NHT Super Twos I found really cheap and I can say that the big complaint against the Super Twos, lack of solid bass response was quite obvious.
The highs were not as crisp as the KEFs either.

At some point I'd like to see about bi-amping these but for now they can fill the house with pure sound.

These are the best bang for buck speakers on the market. Great build quality, best used with subwoofer...

These are my first KEF speakers, now i'm a loyalist.
