The Kef Q10s were a great little pair of speakers.

Strength:
Bass. Tight but big.
Weakness:
Treble. Not what I'd call sparkling highs. These bookshelf-size speakers have always sounded great on my Denon DRA-635 (80W) and then my Scott 350RL (40W) and now my Realistic STA-64 (25W). In my home theatre, the bass is tight and incredible for a speaker this size. I feel the bass more than at the Boston cinemas. Personally, I think the highs could be more accentuated. Strength:
Nice clear sound with good base but detailed.
Weakness:
Bit weak sounding. Very nice versitile speakers. They had a nice decent sound really, but on the other hand they can produce such good clarity and base from just a small speaker.

Strength:
details, dynamics and trancient response, tonal balance and quality
Weakness:
none for its price and its size!!! Small but terrible!!! And mind you they're not expensive. The best sounding speakers in its price range, in fact even double its price range. Heard the PSBs, Celestions, Missions, small bookshelf speakers that are in its class. Q10s has better balance and trancient response... Similar Products Used: celestion 100, other kef brands |

Strength:
detailed highs, open mids and lows. Sounds bigger than its size!!!
Weakness:
none for its size!!!! These speakers are the best in its class and price range. If your looking for a smart buy, these are the speakers for you. Great tonal balance, warmth, dynamaics and for its size even the bass and mid-lows will surprise you. the most ideal speakers for condos and small rooms. Plus its very affordable!!!! I bought these little bookshelf speakers from a local dealer for about $150 pair since I bought the whole set of 5 KEFs - 2 Q30s, 2Q10s and a Q90 for less than $500. They were supposed to be demos since they are not current models. They have been replaced with the 4th generation Uni-Qs, i.e. Q35, Q15 and Q90C. When I hooked them up with Denon AVR3200, they appear to be really BIG. Their image is just fantastic. The highs are just wonderfully musical and the mids are solid. While they lack in bass, but that's what they are designed for. Comparing them with the floorstanding Q30s, they sound more crisp, but never sharp, just a good laid-back British speaker sounds. I didn't do an A/B test with B&W's 601, but I have heard them separately before. I would say those little Qs will at least match what the B&Ws can do, if not better. |

I bought my KEF Q10's probably 5 years ago. At the time, they were new. To this day, they are the best speakers I have ever heard without spending a thousand dollars. |

As a listener that likes all types of music from hard rock to classical I would have to say that I have been VERY pleased with these little speakers. As others have stated in their reviews, these should be matched with a sub for optimum listening...but I have used them for the past 3 years as my only speakers and they are great performers. I am now thinking of upgrading to larger front speakers and moving my KEF's to the back of the room as surround speakers. Overall, excellent sounding speaker for the money! |

I bought these Q10 probably 4 years ago and I still love them. Initially they were paired up with Philips CD 925 (those gray carousel changer!), and a Denon receiver, both of which are somewhat old. The |
