Strength:
Accoustic music, reserved but still detailed treble, tight midrange
Weakness:
Lacks involving bass If you are looking for a near-field monitor for a smaller room, then these are a very good choice. I would have to defend these speakers against complaints about their lack of bass by saying it''s a worthy sacrifice to maintain it''s superbly coherent midrange. The tweeter is very intricate and reserved, and I find the coincident design does a good job of keeping sound even throughout the room. I use them for computer speakers and their handsome cabinets are the highlite of my desktop. I''ve coupled them with an 8" Velodyne and though with high volumes the sub can''t keep up, at lower volumes they complement each other nicely. Strength:
crisp clean sound, very tight, very good looking speaker, with or without grill
Weakness:
bass I just bought these speakers a weekago. The Q'15 are a very good sounding speaker, although i haven't had a chance to listen to a variety of music yet they tend to sound a little tiny. The sale person at the store said it would take a little time to break the speakers in. although they sound clean, they lack in bass . I have to confess i don't know a lot about home stereo equipment, and don't pretend too.The only home stereo that i've ever owned was a yamaha receiver and two speakers, and that was back in 1983,guess who has it now? Yep you guessed right the ex wife "sucker".So I'll give the speaker a chance, and from what i've read in all the reviews i'm sure i went with the right choice. |

Strength:
Clean, pure voicing on female vocals with solid midrange.
Weakness:
Little weak on the low end, but sub makes up for this. The Q15s are definately worth the money. The speakers are clear and pure, with few overtones that other speakers tend to have which tend to distort clarity. The speakers are well styled and tend to sound better with the grills off. The blue-gray cones are appealing to the eye...much better than the mustard-yellow of other English speakers. |

Strength:
Midrange and highs. Sweet full sound. Very nice soft dome tweeter
Weakness:
Little to complain about considering price point Nice full sound from an inexpensive and small speaker. Great midrange. A musical speaker rather than an analytical one. Similar Products Used: Paradigm Mini Monitors, Platinum Audio, NHT SuperOnes, B&W |

Strength:
Good finish, nice shape, really good sound: great mids and highs and enough bass for not very large rooms. You can place them close to the wall. Very good performance for little money. Bi-wireable.
Weakness:
None for that price and size. I have been using these speakers for 8 months and I'm really happy with them. I usually listen many styles of music (except classical) and these speakers handle them without problems. Similar Products Used: Kef coda 8 |

Strength:
Small and elegant unit. Good bass for size and nice mids and highs
Weakness:
Bass not HUGE. Get a sub. I have these bi wired as rear surrounds on my Yamaha A1 home cinema setup. The fronts are TDL RTL3 and I have a TDL NFM 2 as the centre. The RTL3 pump huge amounts of bass so I dont have a problem with the bass of the Kefs. They are great as near field monitors and could be used as mains if you not into bending floorboiards with thumping LFE. I recommended them highly. In fact I am so impressed I will be audtioning its big brothers for front and centre duties. Plus I will pick up another pair for front FX duties on the 7.1 modes of the A1 Similar Products Used: TDL NFM2 and Mission 701 |

Soundstage, Clarity
Weakness:
None After a three month search for new speakers I finally decided on the KEF Q15.2's. Although I had budgeted spending more than I did for the KEF's I found nothing under $500/pr that were as good as the 15.2's. The highs and mids are are as close to perfect as I found for a speaker in this price range. Similar Products Used: Phase Tech, Acoustic Energy |
