I myself have had my Kg4s for over 13 years. These speakers are one of the best sounding speakers i have ever heard. They are unparalleled in there reproduction of the entire audio spectrum which is audible to the human ear.I purchased them at listen up at 999 south logan for 581.97 with tax. This peticuliar audiophile has some of the best ears in existence, in my own opinion of course. I would like to say i know that there are far too many other speakers in existense out there. Im not putting down the many speakers in existense out there, but i think the kg4s are one of the best period bar none regardless of price. i hope to have my kg4s for the rest of my life and beyond. Suffice it to say no matter what kind of speakers you might own when you hear a pair of kg4s or other older model of klipsh, im sure you will agree they are some of the best sounding speakers money can buy LIVE LONG AND PROSPER! |

My favorite speakers.....I bought a pair while in high school and sold them when I was a senior in college. STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID. WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? (Obviously I did not learn anything in college) |

Definitely the COMPLETE package !! I've had my KG4's since 1987 and recently replaced the passives due to the damn cats scratching them. (I guess the cats could hear something I couldn't, because upon close inspection I noted the rubber was cracking.) I was actually traveling through Hope, AR, and stopped by the plant to purchase the replacement parts. Nice people and took me on a personal tour of the place. Talk about drool dripping from my mouth. Make sure you stop by the plant when your in that neck of the woods. (Slick Will's boyhood home is just down the road) |

Incredible speakers. Until recently I had two pair matched with a Kg2 center channel in a HT system. I haven't noticed the horn screech I have read so much about when reading about horn-loaded systems. I find the sound to be very smooth and musical, with abundant but controlled bass. My wife requested I sell at least one pair after buying a pair of Legacy Focus (also because I probably have approx. 14 other pairs of other speakers) which I found difficult to do. Not because no one wanted them, on the contrary, I had several offers, but I enjoy them so much I didn't want to part with them. I still have one pair and still enjoy listening to them. Ratings? A 5 all round, a great speaker, a great sound. |

Strength:
Great craftsmanship. Fantastic wook (actually matches for all speakers) and of course great sound.
Weakness:
In a world of smaller may be better these are by no means small (not huge either though.) Well, I was thinking of selling my KG 4s, but quite frankly reading these reviews has made me reanalyze (and carefully relisten.) I've been thinking of getting a sattelite type system to conserve on space, but some things are just worth it. Similar Products Used: At this price ($500)...none |

Strength:
Great highs, gread mids, surprisingly punch lows for a passive radiating 12" woofer. Great walnut finnish, fine sounding speakers.
Weakness:
Heavy, old school binding posts. Metal thumbtack feet on the bottom... ugh. Excellent sounding speaker. Doesn't get as low as some brands but d*** they sound good. Great looking in real walnut trim. I currently use them as fronts/mains in my casual listening room and power them with an AKAI 1030 amp. For an old solid state it really makes this buggers sing. If you can get a pair cheap, you'll be doing yourself a favor. Can't recommend them any more highly. Similar Products Used: Ohm Walsh2's, Ohm Walsh4's, EPI Epicure 120's |

Strength:
crisp clean sound
Weakness:
lacking in the bottom end, a touch too bright I am sooo glad I purchased another pair of these, I had bought a pair used from a friend of mine for $300 about 4 years ago. When I saw a pair of them at the goodwill for $59 I thought I must be dreaming. Grabbed my girlfriend and told her to pick up a speaker, explaining to her why it was such a big score to find them this cheap! Damn near ran to the check out counter and loaded in the car... I can't believe it, it's even the same walnut finish as my other ones. If you can find a pair of these in reasonable shape for under $350, I say jump on it! |

Strength:
Great Sound for the Price
Weakness:
A little to much low end at higher volumes The KG4 is by far and away the best speaker under $500. I got mine in 1987 for $480 and still use and enjoy them to this day. At the time I bought them I listened to over twenty speakers under $500 and none were as clear and smooth. I must admit I craved the reference speakers being used at Harvy Electronics, but when I found out they were using a pair of KLH's with a price tag of over $1200 I decided to buy the KG4's. |

Strength:
Complete...
Weakness:
They can get you kicked out of apatrments Bought them in 1989. Paired 'em with a Carver Receiver w/Sonic Holography, a NAD CD player, and discovered one THE best purchases I ever made. Excellent. A bit overwhelming for an apartment, I gave them to two very good friends as a wedding present (they had drooled over them for some time...not hinting, just appreciative of what they could do!). Bring 'em back and they'd kick ass against alot of the "hi end" of today. Similar Products Used: Wharfedale, B&W |

Strength:
Great sound and durable
Weakness:
None Could not have asked for a better speaker when I bought them 8 years ago. They still sound and look perfect after much use and many moves. |
