Strength:
Efficency 99 db!!, Sound quality, power handling, clearity
Weakness:
It is rather large and heavy Cant say enought for this speaker, I recentaly bought it to replace my C5 that I bought about a year ago. The C5 was a wonderful speaker, but the C7 captivated me. Its clearity is rediculus. You hear every detail in the soundtracks. But beware, this thing is a monster. Two 8 inch woofers surrounding a tractrix horn. It weighs in at almost 40lbs. Best used on a shelf not on top of your TV. I got the spearker for 379 instead of 600 so that is why I give it a 5 on value. It is a great speaker, that is well worth the money. Strength:
Build quality is first-rate.Sound is excellent.A center that defines localization in vocals, and provides the SPL I want.
Weakness:
A little on the weighty side. But with sound this good I expect A little weight. Only the Klf-30s run with the C7.This is one kicking center.Tried Polk but at 3000.00 for mains only,I failed to hear that concert SPL I was looking for.As an audiophile I purchased the 30s first, and for about 1800.00 I got a sound that was truly transparant on all vocals, and really defines punchy bass without sounding like the woofers were bottoming out. When I purchased the C7 I got A real treat. After all the listening rooms and tests, only Klipsch speakers have the sound I'm interested in. This is a great center channel, an obvious great improvement over my previous center channels. I like the fact that it is a large, heavy speaker. You can really tell the quality and power of it when listening to music in 5 channel setup. Don't really have anything more to add that other didn't say. It's just a great speaker at a great price. Weakness:
THEY QUIT MAKING THEM THE C7 WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM. MY FRONT SPEAKERS ARE A PAIR OF KLIPSCH CHORUS 2 AND MY REAR ARE KLIPSCH KLF 20'S. I HAD A KV2 FOR CENTER CHANNEL AND I UPGRADED TO THE C7 TODAY AND IT WAS GREAT. I BEEN A KLIPSCH FAN FOR YEARS AND THIS IS THE BEST CENTER CHANNEL THEY MAKE. A++++++ SHOP EBAY THEY HAVE ALOT FOR AROUND 325.00 PLUS S/H Similar Products Used: KLIPSCH CHORUS 2 AND KLIPSCH KLF 20'S KLIPSCH KV2 |

Clarity, perfect match for Klipsch KLF 20(s).
Weakness:
None This product is a perfect match for KLF 20(s). I was fortunate to get this product at the time because they were being discontinued by Klipsch. The Audio and Video Consultant took the initiative to locate the KLF C7 from another Tweeter store. It's a demo but was in perfect condition. I don't have to elaborate on the quality of sound because it has been demonstrated by others who reviewed this product. With luck I was able to remove one shelf from the bottom of my 40 inch TV Stand and it was a perfect fit with modified support. Similar Products Used: Klipsch KLF 20(s) |

Strength:
Incredible dialog and sound quality. Can handle high volumes with ease.
Weakness:
A very big center but after listening to it I see why. I listened to Peter Frampton Live in Detroit on DVD in DTS and it was very clean at all levels. I watched Romeo Must Die and the detail was astonishing. I haven't heard anything that even comes close as far as not sounding like a little box playing muddy music. Most centers tend to get real muddy sounding after a certain level of volume is put through them. This is just another reason why I will always purchase Klipsch products. When I decided to change and upgrade my home theater I planned on going with Boston but after auditioning them and hearing the Klipsch Legend line it didn't take long to realize why Klipsch is the obvious choice. What am I? Perhaps, a spokesperson for Klipsch! No, just a loyal customer and a lover of clean and accurate music reproduction. I went to the JVC Jazz Festival in Concord, Ca. at the Chronicle Pavilion and they have a new state-of-the-art audio system that is the best sound I've ever heard at an outdoor event. I don't want to brag but my system at home completely out does it, hands down!! My system: Denon AVR2800, Harman Kardon DVD5, Sony Satellite w/Dolby Digital, JVC HRS-7600 S-VHS, Harman Kardon FL8400 CD Changer, Klipsch KLF30 Loudspeakers in front, Klipsch KLF C-7 Center, Klipsch SW12 Subwoofer, and Klipsch RS-3 surrounds. I love the C-7!! Thanks KLIPSCH!!!!!! Similar Products Used: Klipsch, Boston, Polk Audio, Infinity, Bose and JBL |

Excellent match for KLF-30's, awesome sound, HUGE!!
Weakness:
HUGE!! Make sure you have plenty of room for this one! Fairly expensive. Recently purchased to match my KLF-30's. Replaced an older Infinity RS Video....sound is amazing...I couldn't believe the difference..my system is so much easier to control now. There is a much better balance between the center and mains now..I can actually hear something from the mains without turning the center down all the way....one of the best purchases I have made for my HT system. I have some AudioQuest type 4+ cables on the way, and hopefully they will sound even better then. Not all centers are created equal!!!!! Sound this good did not come cheap however! Strength:
Tremendous clarity, holds dialouge extremly well
Weakness:
size....Very large and heavy....But it adds to the ooooh/aahhhh factor! This is a tremendous center channel speaker. It holds dialouge as well as any I've heard. I was in love with my Polk CS400 and was dumb enough to sell it for an AR2C. The AR2C just didn't cut the mustard. It always sounded "soup canish". Anyway, the Klipsch is an outstanding performer. Very clear, understandable voice and blends seamlessly with Klipsch KLF towers. Highly recommended!! I would rank it as a better performer than the Polk, but very close. Amazing sound. Everything.
Weakness:
Huge. Make sure the wife/husband/significant other is okay with it. If you watch movies, particularly DVD, you are really losing something if you don't get a great center speaker. 80% of the sound you will hear in a movie will come through this speaker. The Klipsch is incredible. |
