Strength:
Workmanship is great! Sounds fantastic. They sound better than the day I bought them home a bit over a month ago. Tight, crisp and alive!
Weakness:
The only weakness I can think of is that they are rather directional. Other than that, not too much else comes to mind. Oh, one more... the feet that come with them could be better. I have purchased these speakers to replace my 20 year old Sonys. These speakers are the best I have heard! When I listen to music, I sometimes close my eyes and seems that I am in a concert hall! I have them bi-wired and approx. 8 feet apart. Fills my living room with what seems to be live music! I am sure there are better speakers out there, but I am totally satisified with these. The workmanship seems impeckable! Really built to last. As much as I love these speakers, like everything else they are not perfect. See below. I power them with a Denon DRA Receiver and play mostly CD's on a Denon DCM 380 Player. Similar Products Used: Sony speakers.. model I forgot. |

Strength:
Crystal clear sound, never harsh, they are not bright sounding like some people say horns are. Have the ability to go very loud without any stress Built very good Slim cabiniets The new copper woofers are a eye catcher
Weakness:
A little weak on the bass but a good subwoofer will solve that They are the best speakers for the money period.I listen to defentive technology side by side with these klipsch and could not justify 200.00 more per speaker. the bass was stronger on the def tech but that was all.the klipsch are so clear and they have a good soundstage also, and boy can they take the volume.I also bought the RF-15 for the rear and the RF35 center and they all sound great.I paid 972.00 for all and you would have to spend at laest 2500 to get better sound, everything was on sale at hifi buys which is why i got a good buy on them.every brand of speaker was on sale not just klipsch.I listen to JBL,Def Teck,Infinity, martin logans and even the JUNK Bose. Klipsch is the best for the money.sounds great on music and movies. My equipment is Acurus 200x3 amp Interga 120 amp outlaw 950 processor Pioneer Elite DV45 DVD player Sansui turn table Similar Products Used: JBL,Infinity,Bose,Cerwin-Vega,Paradigm,Def Tech. |

Strength:
Treble & midrange are the bomb. Love the horns. Nice cabinet (Cherry looks like light oak to me though)
Weakness:
Bass is not strong. The little dome feet to attach on the bottom of the speakers is plastic crap. Great Speaker. The imaging in the sweet spots are wonderfull. In the non sweet areas they are okay, but not fantastic. The Treble and midrange are great. Bass is a bit weak. The horns deliever a pleasing treble. The speakers are not tireing. These are a wonderfull budget speaker. Yes, in the world of speakers at a $1000 for a pair they are budget speakers. Similar Products Used: I owned Wharfeldales Sp87 or 89 before. They suck. Listened to speakers such as B&W 801, they rock, Martin Logans are wonderfull as well. |

Strength:
- Snap on magnet grills - Sensational looks! So sleek! Ooze quality! - High's are unbelievable - The louder you go, the clearer and better they sound!
Weakness:
- Klipsch are expensive here in Australia. RF-35's $1850! And the RF-5's are $3500! RF-7's $5700!!! - Should maybe have a front firing port? As they have to be positioned carefully for optimum results. From being a car audio enthusiast I've decided I wanted a nice system for the home! I recently purchased a Yamaha RX-V1300, Yamaha DVD and the Klipsch RF-3II's. After a stuff up with the order for RF-3's I had to wait for the RF-35's to come in from the US (replacement model). I was give a set of polk R40's to listen in the meantime. Like I said I've not been in the home audio scene much so the polk's sound pretty decent but had heard a set of AAD c-600's which sounded better. Anyhow, 4hrs ago I hooked up the RF-35's which have finally come in! I have two words to desribe these speakers "holy s--t!". The clarity and projection of the high/mids is unbelievable and plenty of the bass there, well enough for me anyway (for the time being!)! Cant wait to get the rest of the set! (centres, rear, sub)! Truely a quality pair of speakers. Movies are even better than music! Sounds you will hear in movies that you've never heard before! Similar Products Used: Borrowed a set of Polk R40's and AAD C-600's. Cannot really compare to the RF-35's. |

Strength:
Very clear, crisp sound. Tight base. Low distortion. Great looks. Comes with spikes for carpeted floors, or rubberized half domes for hard floors. The speaker grills are held on with magnets, which means no broken plastic from removing them.
Weakness:
Base falls off around 50hz, but it is a design limitation and sounds great when paired with a decent sub. I would have loved Purchase price is for the pair I also purchased the RF-35's along with the center, and four surounds. I also own the RW-10. The combo sounds great, just crisp clear sound. I personally love the sound of horn tweeters, and was very happy with them. The bass is not incredibly low, but paired with the RW-10 it is more than enough. The RW-10 blends seamlessy with these speakers. I have heard these on 2 amps. My Pioneer Elite VSX-45 "Custom", and a Denon 2802. The Denon was somewhat harsh in the high range. I've heard that these speakers (As with any speakers with horns) can be somewhat picky about what drives them. Well built, nicely designed, and it comes with spikes for carpeted floors. I paid $660 for the pair from Brandnamez.com Similar Products Used: I listened to the whole Klipsh reference line at Goodguys, along with Energy and some other nice sets. Buying online allowed me to afford the 35's instead of the 15's, which I'm sure I wouldn't have b |

Strength:
- tight clean sound - rich crisp sound - Love those copper colored drivers - excellent styling to fit a normal living room - very efficient, needs very little power
Weakness:
lows are a little weak, not as deep as I woudl like, but then my SVS sub more than fills in what these lack on the low end. They are extremely tight even while being weak. - they are not as directional as some people make ti soudn, but they are also not as engulfing either, good soudnstage, but not great. I bought the complete Ref 35 setup, with RF-35s up front, RC-35 and RS-35s for surrounds, but due to space went with RS-25 for rear backs. My sub is an SVS 20-39 PC+ so I did not audition the Klipsch subs. I listened to Polk, Infinity and Mirage as well and the Klipsch were by far the cleanest of the bunch. The sound was so tight and clean extremely well defined, not hint of any distortion and I really pounded these speakers set to large with large colume in a large room. I am very happy with them and the excellent accurate clean undistorted soudn they provide. Never a hint of fatigue or inaccurate sound. I woudl easily recommend these to anyone as the complete 7 speakers cost me just over $2000 and they sound great. Similar Products Used: Polk RTi70 line Mirage Omni 260 Infinity (???) |
