Was looking for efficient speakers tekton lore, zu omen and others. Out of nowhere these babies showed up in used marker. Thought Why not, I'll give a try. Man, I had loads of speakers and amps before these but theeese shine really. Connected them to SS amp, sounded realy good, with authority and well pronounced details, but little bit sterile, then swaped for jolida brc 502 tube amp! Now they sing like no other combination I ever heard!! The mids and highs are so sweet, bass is articulate with good extension and control no boomines. Scene is 3D wide and deep. Stereo imaging ir very accurate! OVERALL sound is LUSH! Seen some bad reviews on them. People are you serious?? either you have been paid to talk sh** or you havent tried them with tubes. Dont know what is the sensitivity on them, but fact is it's high enough for 60w tube amp to lift the roof of my flat with no distortion! To any one who is considering rf62 I say go for it, you will not be disappointed trust me! these are very fast, sensitive, open, intimate and amp friendly speakers! And I LOVE them. AND THEY ARE WIFE FRIENDLY, THEY LOVE THEM TOO!! |

I actually have the RF-62 II. This is my first surround set system and I'm still setting it up but I'm impressed with this speaker. I'm using a Denon receiver, which I'm working through all the features, but everything is going well.

Strength:
EFFICIENT (don't need a lot of power to get a lot of sound)
Weakness:
At extremely high volumes, the horn can seem a bit bright to people not use to horn loaded systems, but that's only because I've been listening to a muffled tweeter all these years. Now I call it "clarity" heh heh...
Well these are my first Klipsch floorstanding speaks. They are way more efficient than what I was using before (Polk S8). I'm used to speakers crapping out at the higher end of the volume nob but these Klipsch just keep getting louder and louder and louder with no distortion. Well, I can't hear any distortion...
