I forgot to mention in the description that this is a *subwoofer*. It's just a subwoofer that you can plug any pair of amplified satellites into. And..it sounds pretty good for being only $45. I have it hooked up to a pretty good pair of NEC computer speakers and the subwoofer adds some pretty decent bass - not ground pounding bass, but it adds depth to music and games. Your sound card does not need to have a separate subwoofer output (they actually advise against using it, even if you do). The subwoofer is ideal for an audio enthusiast on a budget, but for real bass, try something more expensive.
