A great high-end audio bargain! Usually a midrange this good belongs to a small monitor with no bass like the Spendor 2/3, 3/1 or the Harbeth PL3 not to mention the legendary LS3/5a by harbeth, Spendor or Rogers. These speakers are also crafted by artisans as evidenced by the finish work. I wouldn't want these in a small room, however. For a small room the Legacy Victoria is perfect. |

After auditioning dozens of speakers (Inifinity,Vandersteen,Joseph Audio,Hales,Paradigm,etc.,etc.) I purchased a pair of Legacy Classics without an audition. I did this because I did not hear any other speaker that I audition that I could live with. I went back a couple of years checking every review of the Classics in every audio magazine I could think of. Not once did I come across a truly negative review. So I got them. They are fantastic. The bass goes deep, all the while maintaining its speed and definition. The midrange is very natural and pristine. The treble is very open and airy without being harsh or brittle. The drivers all blend together seamlessly and never call attention to themselves. They will play loud never sounding strained or confined. To top it off the fit and finish is beautiful. First rate. As with any speaker placement is important probably even more so with higher-end speakers. So play around with them in your room. They will sing. I have only high praise for Legacy. Their customer service was fantastic. They will help you in every way they can to make your purchase as painless as possible and believe me they do stand behind their products. They do want your return business. Please do not believe the few unhappy souls who are using this medium to berate and bash this companies products for whatever reason they have. |

As a proud owner of Legacy Classic towers, I too had only one negative experience with their setup--the spikes. They were not consistent with the rest of the package and did a poor job of coupling the speakers to a firm foundation. I was very pleased with their sonic attributes from the get go, however. After some experimentation, I spent the best three bucks of my life, purchasing a pair of three inch thick concrete pavers from Home Depot. I chose a red color to complement the speaker's rosewood finish. I got the idea from my last pair of transducers, Sonus Faber Grand Pianos, purchased with along a $500 pair of sedementary rock slabs. The difference in the Leggies was startling. Bass solidity immediately became world class--consistent with the reviews I saw gracing the pages of magazines and personal reviews from owners. If you're interested, try this method with any speakers and see what it might do for your system. Happy listening... |

After reviewing many speakers in the 2000-3500 price range the LegacY Classics are simply have the best overall performance. To start they have the best bass performance in their price range. The bass is tight with proper pitch. The midrange performance eguals many electrostatic speakers and the Kevlar Eton midrange drivers they use are used by many other companies such as artemis and focus(canada) but at a much higher price. The ribbon tweeter they use is excellent. They are one of the best buys in audio |

Once in a lifetime we are all privilage to experience things that make us feel good about owning a particular product. A product that we are proud to show to our friends and families. I have been into audio since I was 14 when my dad bought my first stereo. I have been hooked ever since. It wasn't until recently after 27 years later that I began to understand what Hi-FI, high end was all about. I have been looking for the perfect system, something that both my wife and I would enjoy. Over the years I have owned Infinity, Klipsch, Paradigm Eclipse Bi-polar and various other speakers. I have been a firm believer that speakers are the most critical piece of equipment in the audio loop. Like many people who search the net looking for the perfect deal on a pair of high quality speakers the true deals seem to be few and far between. I read several articles on the Legacy Classic and the VR family of speakers. Last summer I went to a dealer to audition the VR3 for about an hour. I was very impressed to say the least. I recently had offer someone over the net a price to buy his speakers which he accepted via e-mail and back out to sell them to some one else. A week later a more honest man allowed me to buy "his babies" , the Legacy Classic. I bought them sight unseen and the only reference for thier sound was thru magazines. This is the first time I bought anything from someone without seeing or hearing them. The speakers arrived at my house and they were in perfect, like new condition. |

I had a chance to listen to my brother's pair of Classics which he recently acquired and I must say that are one of the best speakers I have heard. Very detailed with the ability to bring you into the music. |

After owning Snells for three years, I never expected to regret my decision. Enter Legacy Audio. Imagine connisseurs of musical expression trying their darndest please your ears as well as your psyche. These speakers give me that weep factor that only Thiel has been able to usher. The only thing is this--the Thiel's were hooked up to $50,000 in electronics when the Legacies were being run from the new Sherwood amp with DTS. I've never heard better music reproduced. In fact, I'd rather spend my hard earned money on CD's rather than tickets to the symphony. That way, I can sip on a glass of Port and weep to my favorite composers via these truly magnificent transducers. I literally would turn down any other offers for speakers. I'm set for life. |

If you're thinking of spending $3000 for speakers, the Classicis superior to the PSB Status Gold and others in the price range. |

I've found the Classics to be superior to other speakers in its $2,900 price range. Replacing Sonus Faber GP's, the Classics offer better reproduction of the full audio spectrum and pinpoint imaging with a soundstage that you could cut with a knife. Powered by Acurus amps, I urge serious audiophiles to a least audition these speakers before your next purchase. |

I might as well join the crowd in saying the Legacy Classics kill all speakers that I have heard anywhere near their price. With beautifully detailed highs, powerful, crystal clear mids, and well defined, low bass -- what else could anyone want (not to mention their stunningly good looks in Rosewood). I would strongly suggest anyone looking for speakers in the $2500-$5500 price range to place the Classics at the top of their audition list. As for me, I am a Legacy Studio owner who would love to add a pair of the Classics to my system someday. Right now unfortunately, I can only dream of that day. :-( |
