I am presently using magnaplaner mg.5 modified to mg.6 this is not ahard thing to do ,contact magnapan they have a kit t0 do this mod. in my opinion this m mod gives greater clarity to the mid range as it assigns more of it to the quasiribbon tweeter by lowering the xover point. a good tube amplifier in the 50 watt range will give good results, some types dyna mk 111 citation 2 , solid state types classe, bel adcom is also good. sumo gives alift to the bass giving the impression of more bass. this loudspeaker has a veryrealistic wave launch this is one reason for realistic image size. also it works very well in rooms as small as12by 15 note!! works best in rectangular rooms.

These speakers sound wonderful, even if they aren´t completely broken in yet. They are the most musical loudspeakers I´ve ever heard. They will give a warm, transparent,detailed sound with an airy and deep soundstage. I can´t think of any other speaker that gives as much value for the money as these.
