I agree with the other reviewers. These are about 13.5 inches high, but put out a bigger sound than you might think. I have used many similar sized smaller speakers, and if these are coupled with the right amp they can present a very open and well imaged soundstage. I had to repair one damaged in shipping. The cabinets are not flimsy, but can benefit from a little additional damping. Also, the front baffle was glued down onto the box which is not preferable, but all in all they sound much better than I thought they would. Nice and crisp, with a fair amount of good bass, and can take more power than normal for the size.

Strength:
Clear and crisp treble, good deap bass for a small speaker, very natural sound
Weakness:
Non, considering the price Unfortunately i blew up the woofers at new years eve (New Years Day from U2 at the highest level was to much. But for four years they were the perfect speakers for my surround set. As 'stand alone' speakers they were capable to fill te big room with music. It's a very crisp speaker, maybe a bit to agressive for people that prefere a more laidback sound. But for pop and rock they are the perfect low budget speakers. Especially live cd's sound pefect with Mirage 190. If you can still find them, buy them! Similar Products Used: Denon SRC-1 |
