Strength:

NONE

Weakness:

poor sound quality, muffled bass, no imaging

If anyone has heard a worse speaker please let me know. I recently traded my front speakers for a complete Mission system and cash. Man what a MISTAKE. These 732's are terrible right from the design. Who puts a tweeter almost in the middle of the speaker??? There are no strengths I can find with this speaker. Possibly the worst I've ever owned. They might be a good deal if you buy them for under $100.00. I've used them with both 2 channel and home theatre. I have no use for them for music and with movies they are just OK. I even went to overkill and hooked them up with my KRELL amp to get the best possible sound and still didn't impress me. Maybe if you're a kid around 12 years old you might think these speakers are fine but if you're looking for any kind of quality STAY AWAY.

Strength:

Clear Mid Range

Weakness:

Lack of Bass but that is to be expected from a monitors

I see that many people here don't like these speakers. But I think you expect to much from a small boofhels speakers. These speakers sound great for the price paid. You also need to use right cables and components for them to sound right. I use Vampire wire interconnects, Quad 303 amp, NAD CD player, Pioneer record player and H/K pre amp. For speaker wire I use AudioQuest SR 1404. The combination works great and it bets all the speakers in their price range. If you expect high end speakers for 150-200 better look someplace esle.

Strength:

Midrange

Weakness:

Bass

This speaker represents good value for money, and when it was a reasonably new design, it had little competition accept from the likes of B&W.
I was impressed (for the price) by the midrange projection and the punchy bass response. Thinking back though to the year I spent with these speakers, the treble was slightly on the harsh side, making higher listening volumes uncomfortable. The bass, while fast and punchy, was possibly slightly overly enthusiastic in the upper registers, though the extension was quite reasonable for the size.
These are not detailed speakers, for the mid and bass, they tend to paint a slightly 'murky' picture of the music, which doesn't blend as good as it could with the treble.
However, all this said, it has a very good midrange for the price, and so with vocals (and some blues instrumentals) sounded pretty appealing. They're outclassed now of course by the likes of the new little Ruark Epilogue etc, but for their time they were really quite good value.
