Strength:

Midband - detail
Articaluted, foot tapping bass
Uncritical setup (sounds good near walls)

Weakness:

Lowest frequencies are just not there
Lacks a little bit of air

When I moved from a free standing house in the country to my appartment in Brussels, I could not use my old B&W´s DM330i anymore. They sound to heavy when located near the walls (the room was too small), and would probably anoy my neigbours.

I have auditioned B&W´s CDM1, CDM7, Mission 752F and 753F. The CDM 7 had the same problem as my old DM330i; they need a lot of space and cannot be placed near the walls (too much bass). The CDM1 and 752F are the opposite, they sounded a little bit too thin in the bass. For me te 753F was the ideal solution for the music I like (worldmusic, reggae, sometimes classical): a very balanced sound, quick bass, good midband detail and they keep sounding well when placed near the wall.

Weaknessess:
- Although you will not hear the lowest frequencies, this is compensated with musicality and detail in bass.
- They lack a bit of air. It helps when you remove the dust covers, but without them they are not that pretty anymore.

If anyone has experience with Bi-wiring these speakers,
please send me a mail.
