Sound Good

Mid range understated
Must stand them quite a way from a wall else the bass waffles.

1st day still - I hope Eric is right about the running in. They currently sound a little cheaper than the price:
More $799 than $800 :-) I hope to be in listening heaven by the end of the week.

bass is boomy, malproduction midrange driver

After my first review I had a big problem with 782’s midrange driver. The bullet and the magnet of the midrange driver of one of the speakers fell down from the driver frame while I was changing their places to swap them. It is quite weird but what service has said to me was even more weird. They said that I should repair it myself with a glue.
When I learned from Mission that the midrange driver should be replaced I took it to the service and asked them to do so. There I saw many other midrange drivers from 782s and asked them whether they could replace mine with one of those but they said all those drivers are also defective.
As you might guess they returned the speaker to me after fixing it with glue! (They said it honestly though)
So I think that there is a quality problem with the midrange drivers (these are made by Audax France for Mission) and the warranty you have does not help as it should.
Good sound from good looking speakers but very risky to own as it seems.
I therefore decrease the stars I have given to one because a broken speaker means nothing to me.
If you live out of the europe be carefull. Warranty is obscure.
