Strength:

M74: the best all around speaker in this category.
sound dynamics, image, musical, reproduce sound naturaly, simply the best, no echoes, no fuss, simply good reproduction.

Weakness:

little week on bass

Put a good Jazz album, Diana Krall, etta james, close your eyes and listen....the singer is in front of you, she's in your living room, so realistic!!!!!!!!
put the eagle's hell freez over DVD in DTS and you'l see where all the musicians are!!!!! the show is real!!!!!

please don't buy de M73 and go for the M74 right away, you won't regret it...

Strength:

excellant build quality for cost, luvvvvly deep holesome bass, high frequency not to bad either. Good looks.

Weakness:

none

These speakers are excellant value for money i only paid 200 pounds for these beasts, they are well made and look great, with their inverted glass fibre speakers and silk domed tweeters.

These missions need a while to run in for them to perform at there best.
The bass is is great deep and mellow, but can be tamed down using the port bungs fitted at the rear, if its to much for you. They sound great, playing a variety of different types of music, from techno, drum and bass and even perry como.

I run the missions, with a marantz pm66seki amp and cambridge audio cd5 a fine system for around 600 poounds.

go on treat yourself to a new set of speakers.

Strength:

Very sweet high end and a great midrange that makes singers sound like they are right in the room, in front of the band.

Weakness:

None really, except I like a lot of bass foundation and use a Mirage bipolar sub with twin eights. I'm not sure the M73's bass on its own would be enough for me.

I had problems with my 702e Missions. One of the baffles had loosened and there was an annoying buzz at higher volumes. I was allowed to trade up to the M73, which I think is a much nicer speaker. Its high end is much clearer and airier, yet not harsh. The midrange is great and the speakers play quite loudly without protest. I think these speakers have a lot going for them.

Strength:

Excellent clear bass, very good mid range

Weakness:

found them difficult to place in the room to get the best sound, but could be due to my lack of knowledge.

excellent speakers for the money - completely satisfied with them. Did look at buying the tannoy Mercury MX3, but decided on these due to looks and sound quality.

Strength:

Above average detail at the price point. Bass ain't too boomy. Good dynamics.

Weakness:

Tweeter can get over enthusiastic and dominate the sound.

These are good speakers but mot the best at this price point for detail or musicality. The best speakers for me are the diamond 8.3s. But better still are the m74s, but of course you pay a heavier premium, well worth it in my opinion. The m74s have even better dynamics, more bass, and better midrange and scale. They also sound more cohesive and musical.

Strength:

Dynamics, Overall sound.

Weakness:

None.

Speakers used to be the most expensive part of a stereo.
But getting these M73 speakers from mission for only $240 (169 GBP) is an absolute stripe through that rule.

Great sound and well balanced. A joy to listen to music through these speakers. I found myself getting all my CD's mixed through the boxes being impatient to listen to them all.

There is just no other choise for this kind of money.
