In regards to MS10i & MS10i (Pearl). Complaints about the depth and soundstage of this speaker are unfounded when "rationally" and "fairly" compared to speakers in the same price range. Either that, or these are the type of idiots that would be comparing them to JM Labs being supported by Audio Note equipment. When I listened, through a small system as intended (Micromega Minium), they did a great justice to the French hardware, better even than it's own matched components.

I could never understand fools who wants deep bass from 5half inches cone and married a loudspeaker of this stature with cheap electronics & cables.I've own MS speaker,NHT super zeros,SPENDOR LS3/5a,RICHARD ALLEN minette gold,&many others and I can say MS is the best budget speakers available, and for the deaf and ignorant Mordaunt short also build EPOS range of speakers. If you owners out there have the itch to upgrade I suggest the electronics and cables first for this speakers will shame most speakers priced under $1,500.And for those who think I'm new, you're wrong,I've been into music since I'm 16yrs old,& I now own own $25,000/- system.5 PLATINUM STARS&5GOLD.

When I lived in a small room (11 m square), I found that MS 10i played quite well. But after I move into a larger room (30 m square), it won't give me impressions any more. This speakers need well recorded sources, hi power amplify and louder volumn. Anyway it's good for use in small rooms. Otherwise you will find it's shortcomings and may not be satisfied with it.

Upon entering a hifi dealer's shop, I was impressed by the music theywere playing at that time. Sting's I'm Mad About You seemed to flow
from somewhere and everywhere at the same time. I began to look fo
the speakers they were using and found out that these were the
diminutive MS10i's. I was really amazed at the coherence of the sound.
The bass was not too strong to be dominant, nor was it weak to be
unnoticed. The midrange was warm, and the treble, oh so sweet. What
really struck me was that such small speakers can give such a tight
and well balanced presentation. I recommend these speakers whole-
heartedly to those who want their music to be - just music.

I am getting ready to purchase a pair of stand mounted small speakers. This is not a review of the MS10i,but am trying to get input from audiophiles about the MS10i classicks.Mordaunt Shorts website has alot of rave reviews and they look very weel built.Any input would be greatly appreciated.I will give a 4 star rating on what I've read about them for now.

I do agree with Sam (see above) that these MS Pearls are no quite popular in my country, but I'm quite sure that it has little to do with US speakers. Frankly, in ALL of the Hi-Fi audio equipment shops that I have visited or patronised so far, NONE of them have admitted to US speakers being in favour of buyers in this country, as most audio enthusiasts prefer UK models.
I had a chance to audition these speakers once, and half a minute was sufficient for my verdict - disappointing. Despite all the audio magazines' rave reviews of the pearls as outstanding in their class, I could not be persuaded to believe that they were anywhere half as competent. Although the sound was clear and non-sterile, it possessed an uncomfortable mid-range atmosphere, and a really pathetic bass. A decent buy only for enthusiasts with a really tight budget.

Great music for such a great price! I have often wondered whythese small speakers are not popular with people in this forum
and have concluded that being British, it may have gotten lost
in the American speaker glut.
