None The R645's for my front speakers have been with me since March of 1998 and will stay with me till I leave this planet. These 2 speakers are paired with 2 B&W passive PC-8 12 inch subs, crossed over at 80hz. Needing surrounds for my home theater, I purchased the R58's in April of 2003 to receive the power from Adcom 5802's brought to them by the LexiconMC-12B which puts out the 7.1. The Janis 15inch passive sub takes care of the .1 Room size is 24' by 16' with a cathedral ceiling in a log home with carpeting adjacent to 24' by 16' kitchen and dinning room separated a wall. Having the outer walls being the full log type, gives this a good acoustical property for sound. DTS makes these R58's shine in the upper octaves , due in part to the ribbons and the wide throw of sound gives this a wrap around effect. Opening scene of Twister in DTS have the lows and highs, use caution when children are present, the highs are that high. For those of you who have a pair of any model Newform speakers for the front, get these R58's for your center and surrounds. The all important tymbre match is key and these will blend in. Your mind and ears will thank you. . Similar Products Used: Magneplaner MG10,Heil |
