Strength:
Well built
Weakness:
No biwiring I bought these under consignment for $550.00 when they were still in production. At that price, they are excellent speakers. I have never really used them as main speakers because I also own a pair of NHT 3.3 for that purpose(also bought at great deal). I place the 2.5's in the rear about 6-8 feet from the rear wall and 4-6 in. from the side walls(they are actually 90 degrees from the side walls)The angled baffle is facing the rear walls so that the rear sounds have a little more time delay before bouncing back to the listener. I think that since these are no longer in production, if you can pick them up used cheap, they would make great rear speakers if not good from speakers. Strength:
Wide sound, good value, good tight bass. When I bought my speakers I hadn't listned to them. So I didn't know how they would sound. A big risk to take, but I got a very good deal, so I had to buy them. According to all the reviews I read they should sound amazing. And they did. Strength:
huge soundstage & amazing bass in a small footprint, pin-point imaging, excellent value
Weakness:
who...? I bought these speakers from a local retailer that was going out of business, so I got an incredible deal!!! I must admit, I had hear many great things about NHT, but the real reason I bought them is because they were such an awesome deal.... I was in for the biggest surprise ever!!! I set these speakers up in literally, 5 min. and was immediately blown away by the soundstage... it was very wide, and the depth it revealed in the music, was almost scary! The bass output of these slim towers was also an unexpected surprise.... very accurate and musical. |
