Fairly transparent with good imaging. Great spousal-approval rating.

Not as much presence or imaging as mini-monitors

Purchased for a bedroom system, but tested in place of my monitor 7's in a HT setup, driven by a Carver AV-705x amp. Wow, I'm glad I didn't let my wife hear these before I bought the 7's - she'd be asking why we didn't get the smaller ones. They sound clean, and don't seem to color the music. Tested with a few jazz quartets and some Diana Krall. No tinny sounding drivers here. I had the opportunity to move up to Atoms for only $30 more due to a delay in my cabinet color coming in. I thought I'd be testing them at home and bringing them back for that one-time deal, now I'm not so sure.

incredible, awesome sound, great price. I bought for my
extra front, Yamaha RX-v2095 has main A&b, (100w/channel each)and extra front(25w/channel each) for extra effects.
Its a 7 ch/surr. and this is perfect. together with the Monitor 9 and center.
