I'm playing with Harman Kardon equipment on these speakers and this is what you wanted to know. Do they sound good? You bet! If your into excessive bass, buy a sub woofer to go with them. Note: Keep your wife, kids and dogs away from them, maybe leave them in the box and cut out a hole in it for the speakers, hey it might start a new fashion. |

Strength:
Excellent soundstage, great separation, and no tinny highs. Very good bass, superior midrange
Weakness:
I am still looking I have been trying to build a system for a while. Did significant research auditioned NHT, KLIPSCH, and AR along with Paradigm Mini, atoms, Monitor 5 and the threes. Settled for the monitor 3 as they offer the best price to performance ratio. Almost bought Cambridge SW Newton MC300s but changed my mind after finding out they are made in "far east, but not in Japan." Similar Products Used: Sony "el cheapos" |

Just upgraded my old 3 se,s that were 15 years old to the new monitor 3,s. I must say there is a world of difference from so many generations, these new speakers have way more highs and the bass ,well I can say there,s bass these monitors seem to be a lot less sensitive than my old se,s .I seem's that I have to turn the volume up alot more to get them to pump. For the price these are great speakers I paid $ 349 cdn you cant go wrong . I just need to get more money now so I can upgrade my cc-150 center to the cc-350 . Can't wait. |

Just picked up a set of Monitor 3's and yes they are everything I have expected and more. However, I do recommend burning them in as they are very bright initially and to also keep the grill on. Upon first hook-up I did notice a big difference between the 5SEMKIII's and Phantoms I've previously owned. Actually the Phantoms are better than the SE's as its tweeter seems to be better matched to the driver. The Monitor 3's have much more realism than both and that's what sets them apart, easily. Bass could be a little better, but I'm not complaining since I paid $299 Cdn for them. What a steal. Seriously recommended. |

I just purchased a complete Paradigm Home speaker setup including Moniotr 3's, Mini Monitors, PS 1200 sub and a CC350 center channel. I am so psyched! The system is incredible from head to toe! |

Wish I could have them in every room of my house Unbeatable price , best all around speaker in the under $1000 price range. Unsurpassed sound quality and impecable warranty coverage. The Paradigm dealerships really take care of their customers.Love THEM! could not ask for more. One of the most beutiful speaker casings on the market. They also hold their value like nobody's business. Great Speakers LOVE PARADIGM! only speaker I would ever buy again. For the money, I don't think their is a better speaker on the market. I have them hooked up to an Adcom GFA-5300 amp. The bass is very tight and accurate and the high end is not so bright, which I like. If you are in the market for a small speaker system under $400.00, you owe it to yourself to listen to these Paradigm Monitor 3s. |

Strength:
value...clarity.....size
Weakness:
none to be found I've had my monitor 3's now for a little over a year. I had a middle of the road sony reciever pushing them and yea they sounded pretty darn good to me. Really, no complaints. But then a couple of weeks ago, I bought a Denon AVR 1800 reciever to start building my home theatre. Talk about what a difference a reciver can make to the sound of these speakers. I had no Idea that my Paradigm's could sound that much better than before. These speakers represent, I think, one of the best values out there. For $400 Cndn, they sound every bit as good as anything out there for twice as much. I agree with one of the reviewers.....good stands for these are a must....and the damn things sound better with the grills off rather than on......crazy eh?? Bottem line is thse Canadian built speakers are truly a graet value. I can't wait to add a paradigm sub and centre down the road to my home theatre dream. |

Strength:
Awesome High's, Sweet Mid's
Weakness:
None These speakers are an awesome deal. I got them for $340 on sale which is a decent price for these great sounding speakers. I don't think anything in this price range can compare. Good speaker stands are a must. Similar Products Used: nothing I have used compares |
