Strength:

uncolored midrange, wide dynamic range, articulate bass

Weakness:

none i can identify at this price

Paradigm is probably the most underrated loudspeaker manufacturer in North America. Probably because they're Canadian. Def techs, Bostons, similarly priced B&Ws, Klipsch, PSBs don't approach these floorstanders.
For the first week I was unsure about the metal dome's high frequency response but this quickly cleared up within a week of contstant use. I am stunned by the performance delivered at the price. Uncolored and transparent mids and highs are combined with a very fast and high impact midbass that has good to very good transparency. The bass performance is beyond reproach at this price.
They are a budget audiophile's dream come true.

Strength:

Loud, Clear and Crisp sounding!

Weakness:

none really, but bass can get boomy if the speaker is near a corner.

My system includes:

Yamaha RX-V800 receiver
Yamaha CDC-675 5 disc CD
Paradigm Monitor 90P ver 2 mains
Paradigm Monitor 3 rears(actually they are mains)
Paradigm CC-370 center

I was originally using the monitor 9 mains which were great but I didnt have a seperate Sub. So rather than spend $1000cdn for a good Paradigm sub(pw2200) that would take up a lot of space I dont have, I traded in the 9 for the 90P and paid $1100 cdn.

These are awesome speakers, the powered subs almost made the clock and pictures on the wall almost fall off the first time I turned up the volume a little bit. I didnt think that only 8" subs could dothat much, but with three of them working tegether you can really hear and FEEL it!

The mid and high frequency is what got me hooked on the monitors. I directly compared them to a higher priced set of Bostons and the Monitors were by far clearer and sharper sounding. It really is true what they say about these speakers, you will hear things in your music you have never heard before will other speakers. Using a bi-wire for these speakers is a very good choice, it can really improve the quality and make these speakers sound the way they should be.

These speakers are amazing, any of the Paradigm speakers are amazing, more so the monitor and reference series. For all you Canadians out there that want great speakers at a decent price support a good Canadian company and get Paradigms! And Americans can get them for even less with their dollar value.

Great work Paradigm!
