This little sub is ridiculously powerful and has a low frequency cutoff at 23Hz!! That is insane for a 10" cube. An interesting design with its opposing drivers in bipolar configuration and no ports- an acoustic suspension enclosure, which is pretty unusual for a sub in my experience. Build quality is excellent. I have my Baby Boomer wired at speaker level, with the outputs going to my mains (PSB Imagine Mini's) to take advantage of the internal first order crossover. This configuration, which I have not used before in other setups, is useful for me in that there is less guesswork in trying to minimize overlapping mid-low frequencies at the crossover point to the mains that can cause undesirable emphasis on certain, sometimes unpredictable, bass notes. I can find no fault with it except (see below)

I wish that the gain (volume) control was less sensitive at the low end of the scale. An infinitesimal change of rotation brings the sub level from a bit too soft to WAY too loud! I would like more leeway to fine tune the adjustment without having to use a microscope. I can't possibly imagine anyone wanting to have the sub level at even an eighth of its range in relation to the mains unless the mains in question were very inefficient. A small criticism however, given my overwhelmingly positive experience with it.

One thing about Pinnacle speakers is that there are slim to no reviews. Also, the models and specifiactions of these subwoofers are also difficult to identify. The Baby Boomer I bought and received has a 500 watt internal A/B amplifier as opposed to 600 watts. After a LOT of research I came to the conclusion that what I have is a sub that was originally packaed with a home theater system.

I bought this for a song of a low price of $194.00 shipped from an ebay seller. The seller deals exclusively in Pinnacle Speakers.

I need to qualify my experience with audio equipmemnt so that the reader may know I am not compairing this sub to a home theater in a box sub. I have ownered Legacy Classics, a Legacy high current stereo amp, Mirage Subs back in the late 90's, a Dahlquist Sub and an HSU V2F sub paired with my current Ascend Acoustics speakers.

This little sub so far has equalled the performance of my HSU but at 20% of the price the HSU cost me. This is one articulate, powerfull and DEEP bass! My main goal for any sub is music. Movies are my second objective.
This is a sealed sub and blends perfectly with my Ascend CBM 170SE's. You CANNOT go wrong with this sub!

This little sub sounds great.It matches nicely with my Magnepan mmg,Phase Tech.teatro center,Mission 77ds surrounds. It did crack on one movie,The Haunting(dts)before tweaking.Music sounds real nice throught this sub.Keep in mind it,s made for small/med. rooms.

got a KILLER price, arrived dead,sent to pinnacle and they fixed it and sent it back, took a while to break in and place, I was dissapointed for a few days because it was replacing an ACI titan, and it didnt sound too good, but now am starting to appreciate it more every day. It is definatly an underdog of a sub, you(at least I) woulnnt expect much from a cube less than 10" square , It will DEFINATLY EXCEED expectations once working optimally. the price I got it for was icing on cake!! If you are looking for an unobtrusive(little) sub with respectable performance, listen to a BABYBOOMER

I've been listening to this little baby in my house for about five months now. I love it. It's very musical, which is important for me, but has the power needed to blow everyoen out of their seats during movies. Coupled w/
my Yamaha reciever, through the LFE and an AudioQuest
sub cable it's a serious hazzard to my landlady who
lives below me.

During Das Boot the depth charges exploded more fiercly than
I've heard on anyone elses system.

The acoustic suspesion design means it helps when it comes
to music as well, if you're a PFunk afficionado like I am
then you'll love what this sub does for your speakers.

For your reference I have a Yamaha 5140 connected to my
home theater PC (3dfusion DVD), Paradigm Mini monitor
fronts, Paradigm cc350 center and Paradigm Atoms rears.

I prefer the Pinnacle to all the Paradigms barring the Servo15. Too expensive for me.

It took me a few months to find a good place for the beast.
I wish they'd provided a guide on placement. A friend suggested I use the technique outlined in the Paradigm
subwoofers manual for placement. i.e. Sit in your listening
position and have a friend move the sub around the room. That worked well for me.
