Strength:
Great soundstage for speakers this size! Effective bass for a non-powered bookshelf speaker.
Weakness:
Velcro Grill attachments. For their size, mini-monitors are quite possibly the best bookshelf speakers you can buy. The frequency range is impressive! They create a wide soundstage. The mini-monitors can be used for main speakers or as surrounds. I''m not just saying this to please. I''ve moved them around just to test them. If you want a capable small main or excellent surrounds, buy the mini-monitors! However, I do have a gripe to share. The grills use velcro. I would''ve preferred snap-ins. My other pinnacle speakers have them. Why not these? Similar Products Used: Pinnacle classic gold aerogels and classic gold center |

I have owned these little guys for about six months now and I am thrilled with the performance of these speakers for their size and cost. For my small space and limited budget, they do everything I could ask of them--detailed highs, accurate instrumental voices, and stunningly tight, deep bass for a cabinet only a speck over a foot high. They are also very efficent: I have a 35wpc Parasound Zamp which produces more volume than I (or the neighbors) need. Compared to other speakers I auditioned for up to twice the price, I heard a few with slightly better imaging, and some had silkier highs, but none did more things as well as the Pinnacles. Highly recommended. |

I bought a new pair of these at auction for $200 (w/S&H) and use my NAK AV-500 to drive them. I'm very impressed by the range of these speakers (particularly the highs), although I will probably get a small sub (8-10") in the future to help them with the lows. At one time I considered the Bose products (301/501) but to be honest, I really didn't like the way they sounded. |

Strength:
crisp sound wide and tall soundstage
Weakness:
none I just got these on a great deal on the internet and have only listened to them for a day. I was impressed with them right out of the box. They are very sturdy and look great with the grills off and the gold tweeter visible. Similar Products Used: a/d/s l710 polk audio |
