Strength:

Power and Clarity.

Weakness:

Nothing that I can think of.

These speakers are damn incredible. I have the entire RT5000p setup, and let me tell you, in my honest opinion, for $5000 or under, you cannot do better. I mean, the center channel has subs and a built in 100 watt amp. Come on.

This is one incredible setup not to be missed, and you can get them for good prices on the net used...

Once you hook this system up, it will blow you away. Period.

This is an amazing speaker! Every weakness of the 2000p's are answered here. The 2000's are an excellent speaker (which I also own and am now using them as my surrounds), but were a little on the bright side and couldn't produce the ultra low movie effects with authority. With the 3000's, Polk has made what I consider to be one of the best movie/music speakers (is there any better?) on the market. They don't have any weekness. Way to go Polk!

As an overall load speaker (Audio/Theater) it would be hard to beat the sound reproduction of the RT3000's at any price. At the retail price they are a good buy, but at half off (Circuit City, LI) I feel like I won the audio enthusiast Lotto.

Strength:

Bass, huge soundstage on music, versatility of not having to place a sub. great bang for the buck on HT

after listening to my A.T 350 and m&k for 3 years, i finally decided to get a system that is a little more musical with my yamaha dsp2070. always been very happy on movies but the A.T. was a little dark and unforgiving on music. my old system played lower (can't beat a m&k), but not louder. i tried the definitive tech 2004tl and 2002tl, b&w 605p? (not sure of model #), paradigm 90p and studio 80 version 2 before deciding on the rt3000's. always used a receiver and my music for trying them out. i feel these polks have a much better blend from top to bottom than the others and the bottom has a very tight kick, like someone has punched you in the chest. still cannot decide on their center channel, either the monster cs1000 or manageable cs400 (more than likely due to cost). in no hurry bcause running phantom center is suprisingly adequate for right now. and last, i really like the looks of these in the rosewood
