Strength:
Clarity,looks and imaging
Weakness:
would have prefered an extra driver. (at this price I'm just nit-picking). These speakers represent a great value at there closeout prices...they're very detailed and have excelent imaging. They're perfect for a medium sized room matched with a good sub. Similar Products Used: Pinnacle towers, klipsch,Def Tech,B&W. |

Strength:
Even ballanced music reproduction. Good staging for music and movies. Small footprint. Good prices.
Weakness:
don't place them in a corner or close to the wall. have had a pair as main speakers in a home theater setup for about a week now. They are teamed with 2 rt35i for surround, a cs400 center, and a velodyne cht-12 sub. They are all powered by an onkyo TX_DS 797 receiver. these speakers sounded great at the store and just as good at home. They are even better musically than they are for HT. Strength:
Good bass response for only a 6" woofer. Excellent response on higher frequency as well. Great looking. Carpent spikes, and hard floor knobs included.
Weakness:
Possibly will upgrade to RT800 for fuller sound. Well I''ve been in the market for some new equipment ever since my fraternity house was broken in to and my old equipment was destroyed. I just wish they would have stolen the stuff, it would have been easier than seeing it in pieces. But anyway, I picked up the RT600i''s at Circuit City on closeout and have been extremely pleased. After listening to many brands (see below) I decided that for the money I couldn''t do any better. For that matter, I couldn''t do much better for twice the price. The musical reproduction is wonderful and they sound great in home theatre. I will definitely be purchasing the other voice matched components soon. I highly recommend these for anyone needing great sound on somewhat of a budget. Similar Products Used: Cerwin Vega, Infinity, Bose, DCM, JBL, Klipsch |

I have tried other speakers for around the same price and I really think that my Polk Audio speakers are the best. I listen to a lot of heavy music and the base sounds great. Sure they are not the best speakers I have heard but the closest comparison I think would have been Bose floor standing speakers, which were more than double the price. You can''t get better speakers for the price. |

Strength:
Solid Bass, well balanced sound at high volume
Weakness:
At low volume, low seems to overtake highs, and little too boomy Go these yesterday, burnt in for 24hrs non-stop at low volume. At first, I placed the speakers too close to the wall and found out the speakers to be too boomy. Then I tried moving them to about 1 foot away from the wall, and the sound balance improved immidiately. Really nice high at all volume. Compare to my Bose 501, these produce a lot less hisses and hums. This may happen because I also got a SACD player in the system. But I feel that it is the speakers themselves which make less ''noise.'' Also, very solid bass overall probably due to the heavier construction. Each of the speakers weights nearly 2 times that of the 501. Similar Products Used: Bose 501 V |

Strength:
Great price Good looking Great sound
Weakness:
Have to get the CS400 center channel speaker to timber match. Very good sound. I have a friend that has a a nice set of Infinitys, and his don''t sound this good. I''m not saying that the speakers are the sole reason, but I can tell a big difference in sound quality. Similar Products Used: Crappy Kenwoods |

? well, i'm pretty sure i picked up one heck of a bargain on these suckers. i took a pair of dcm10's back for circuit city's 'trade up' policy, and saw these sitting on the floor on clearance for $199/spkr [not floor models; they're clearing them out]. i ran over to the computer section to use a computer with net access and came to this page. after reading 5 or 6 of you guys' reviews, i walked back into the audio section and handed over my credit card. i ended up giving them my dcm's back and eventually had to fork over $45. one hell of a small price to pay to get these speakers over the dcm's. the dcm's were a very nice speaker for the money paid the purpose i used them for [rocking a college party house], but with myself wanting to move more towards the home theater section, i think i found a good start. thanks for the help from the previous reviewers. the highs are clean, and the bass is surprisingly present for the driver size. very satisfied. Strength:
Value, great highs, very good lows
Weakness:
A little shy in the midrange In putting together a system for my daughter's graduation present(from college), I auditioned quite a number of speakers in the bookshelf and small floorstanding style. I was leaning toward B&W's because I own a pair of DM-7's, but the bookshelf models I listened to didn't cut it. A little tinny and no bottom end. The Infinities were the same. But after hearing the RT600's, I knew my choice. I had owned Polk Monitor 7's when they first came out years ago, so I was aware of the possibility of the RT600's being a decent speaker. But when the salesman said they were an out of box sale for $340 a pair, I just had to do it. Matched with NAD C340 Integrated amp and 523 CD-changer, they sound great. I would recommend them, however, I think they are being discontinued. Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
-none-I must have hearing problems, cause they sound bad in my opinion.
Weakness:
Everything is weak, I guess I was expecting too much. This is just my opinion so don't just go by it, do yourself a favor and stay away from this speakers or else you'll be going back to the store to return them. Bad, bad , and just plain bad. Even my cheap Bose 201 can compete with them so go figure, I use my Bose 201 as my garage speakers and I still like them better, I guess the only good thing about buying this speakers is that I got myself a brand spanking new set of sound for my garage. I give them one star cause I cannot go any lower(more like -one star). Similar Products Used: infinity rs-5,bose 501,301. |

Strength:
Awesome Sound, great on the highs and good base to boot
Weakness:
None so far I had looked at the equivalent from Energy and had auditioned the infinities as well as the 800i's, but in the end I felt that the polks gave the best value. They sound fantastic, Jurassic Park was incredible and when my buddy and I watched gladiator he thought someone was knocking at the door at one point in the movie. For the price you can't go wrong, I got a really sweet deal as they were 900.00 Canadian regular, but I got them marked down to 725.00 and that included a nine year warranty.
