Well I have a beatiful pair of Splitfields on Projekt stands and they are, as all reviews suggest, just ... I don't know the word...as perfect as speakers can get for me and I've had a lot. However, they need more space than I have (they are 'backs to the wall' and I may sell them. I may do a p/x with something more suited to my small listening room. Any ideas tocameron@hotmail.com |

Strength:
Width, Depth, Clarity and Dynamics.
Weakness:
The aluminium crossover box interfere with the music, change it to a wooden box instead. I bought this pair of speaker when my sister worked for QLN. I had a pair of signature speakers which looks as the splitfield, and they were magical, so i thought that the splitfield would be even better and they were and are. This pair of speakers can play music, and they play it even better if you switch the aluminum crossover box to a wooden. The music gets depth, width and clarity wich is ubelivable. Before the uppgrade to a wooden box the speakers played classical music best, but now it plays everything with the same energy and dynamic. If you would stumble across a pair, buy them, you won´t be sorry. That will say as long as your sources are up to it, and use same sort of speaker cables through the line. Unfortunatly they don´t produce this speakers any longer, and the new one without the splitfield box dosen´t play as well as the old one. Similar Products Used: I use Primare I20 that is A20 mkIII and Primare D20 mkI. Nordost Flatline gold mkII, and some cheap noname RCA cables from Biltema wich plays better than my reference cables from Cable Talk. |

I have decided that It was about time the I told you guys (and girls) about these little babies. QLN is from Sweden and cost about 2000$. This is a 2 wayset with a separated crossover. The units are from scan-speak. |
