Got some at last and even better, they are virtually mint with just a few scratches which have been removed with a bit of wax. These are even better than I thought they would be. Playing these through a 40 watt Naim atom and the sound is just fabulous. UPDATE, got a power amp and the sound is now world class, if you get a pair, get a power amp too! Truly amazing speakers and will echo the other three reviews, if you see a pair for sale then get them. Were £700 but worth every penny.

Really? None at all, soundstage, bass, mids and treble are clear as a bell with no harshness at all, so easy to listen to. Get a pair, you really won’t regret it.

I bought a pair of used Equinox two Years ago and I can only agree with the other Reviews. All Friends who came and hear them, are blown away by the Sound Quality. The Soundstage, the Resolution and the warm and never annoying Sound. Amazing! A Friend of mine was so hooked on these Loudspeakers, that he asks me to help buying a similar modern Loudspeaker. So I brought them to a HiFi Shop and had the Chance to hear them against todays Standards Loudspeakers like B&W, Audio Physic, KEF and Focal and they won every Competition against modern Loudspeakers in the 1000 to 4000€ Range. The First Thing beaten the Equinox was a Focal Kanta 2, wich is a big Floorstander and costs about 8000€. The Friend was a little bit disapointed by the Fact, that he must spend so much Money he doesnt have. But inside, I smiled and was so hapoy about my Equinox. I will never sell them....if you find one, just buy them. You won't regret it.

Fantastic speakers, I have just bought a pair used. Using it with a single ended tube amp with only 15w p/c and the sound is not less than amazing. Warm, clean, relaxed, wide, smooth and creamy for your ears. Not listning fatique whatSoEver amp u use om them. I have also tried it with Sheng Ya SP338 solidstate amps (80w p/c), still smooth and wide sound stage.... the lows are to good to be monitors. u find one, by it.

Give it space, and it'l give you not sound, but music.

Stone cold giant killer, along with beautiful cabinet work. I`m running these with a Musical Fidelity AMS 35I class A amp and they are stunning. The detail, timing and quite a bit of low end for a stand mount. I paid £600 just over a year a go and I sold my B&W 804s, and the Ruarks stomped all over the B&Ws`s. When I put the B&As back in it sounded like the speed of the sound had been turned down, the information was missing, and this was a 3 grand speaker that previously beaten every thing that I tried against them. There were some very expensive speakers that I tried. Needless to say the B&As were sold. Everyone of my pals who have heard the Ruarks all agree on the stunning sound quality. If you find some, buy them, you won`t regret it.
