I purchased these speakers as part of a home theater package that consisted of the Sony STRDE-335 receiver and SS-U3033 surround sound and center speakers.
They put out a decent amount of sound at adequate frequencies. Basically, I got them at a very good price, which justifies their purchase; otherwise I would not have got them. I am afraid to turn them up too much for fear of blowing them.
