Strength:
good bass, incredible detail and voice image.very well build, extraordinary value
Weakness:
none so far i've been looking for a good pair of stereo speakers for more than a year.I have had the bose for 5 years.the more i learned about audio the more i realize that bose was not giving me the musical experience i wanted. For home heater bose did ok. When came to music they sounded thin weak and not true to the sound. After spending all the money as i did in my sistem,[last upgreat avr3300]i owed to myself to a least a good sounding pair of speakers for music listenig. Not wanting to make the same mustake,i wanted to listen as many speaker brand i could. So i started my auditionig.Long trips to dealers ,time consuming and desapointment. Those i realy liked were way out my price range.I narrow my selection to the speeaker list above.I was almost with my mind set on the paradigms, until one day i started talking about audio to my manager at work.Came to find out the man was a audio/video nut.He said the paradigms were nice but he could help me find a cheaper ,much better build and better sounding speaker.I said impossible, but for curiosity i once again whent on my usual 35 min trip to the nearest dealer.when i got there the owner asked me who refer me to them and how i learned about these speakers, since the company does not advertise.after explained all the stuff to him.He took me to a room to audition the2266cf.keeping in mind this is a hi-end store and not knowing what i was looking at i saw diffent pairs of speakers, than he said "those are the ones".I was speechless by the build quality, these things are build like tanks.I mean they look like a $2000 speakers.the finish is perfect with a gorgeous look,in the back there are two set of banana plugs with heavy duty gold plated posts and these plugs are biwirable. The two 6" drivers are made of carbon fiber, one driver is low passed for deep bass and the other works full range.the carbon fiber is mostly used in much more expensive speakers,at 42"tall they are 62lbs each,so you can see this company means business. This company does no advertisemnet, all the money goes to the product, this is good for the consumer.when the music started my jaw dropped i could not believe how clean and detailed they sounded. The bass was so tight i thoutgh a sub was on.the sound stage was wide, the image was so good it felt like a center speaker was working,i had to put my ear close to make sure it wasn't on.i took them home to listen in my sistem the result was the same.A perfect mach for the denon.i was thinking to keep the bose for home theater, but my friend is buying them[am5 for fronts,am3 for rears],about half what i paid for.I'm going to buy source technologies center and rear.I forget to mention that these are excellent for home theater. AT $750 a pair this is the greatest value in a speaker i've seen.dealers are very hard to find try email them at hrsce@aol.com for more info. This company have been around for a long time aparently the guy started building them out his garage, they also make speaker cabenetes for other companys.please give these babys a listen you will glad you did. I'm just correcting the price i gave on my review of 2266cf. the 2266cf that i reviewed are far more better than 266.the actual retail price for 2266cf's are about $1300.in my review i gave the wrong price.ACTUALLY THE $750 IS THE COST OF 266,WHITCH ARE TWO STEPS BELLOW 2266CF.THE 2266CF'S USE THE NEW CARBON FIBER TECHNOLOGY.I'm sorry for mess. |
