These served as my main loudspeakers for 10 years. Gordon Holt of "Stereophile" rated them as class C--I think.
Somewhat forward sound emphasized midrange and vocals and brass. I like this coloration, but it is, after all, a coloration. Violins, ok. Treble somewhat soft. Transparency, not up to the best of todays, but not bad for the 80's. Able to play very loud. I used them with the Adcom gfa 555 II and they cranked pretty well, and I never clipped the amp.

Woofers had foam surrounds so may be in for some rot. Mine never went, but it may just be a matter of time.

I think these were pretty inexpensive when new. Probably should go for $200 or less used. They would be a good starter speaker if they were in excellent condition.

I sold mine to a friend and he is quite pleased with them.
