Strength:
Very detail, rich tonal quality & overall tidiness. Build is good. Thumb up for the lows.
Weakness:
I need to use the tripod to increase the bottom weight & surface area. Actually, I was there just to help a friend to select a pair of Monitor Audio & other accessories. When auditioning, Edward the saleman brought out the Primare just for comparison. And the tonal quality stuck me! Couple of weeks later, I went back & bought home a pair w/tripod. I'm using a full triode single-ended 845 to drive it. Immediately, I hear details that I never heard before. Transparent, tidy, sound-staging, low-end & liquid highs. I can't imagine all this happening right in my hall. Really a total new experience in my setup. Strongly reccomended to anyone needing a speaker not too big & sounds big with rich tonal accuracy. Big sound in a small floorstander. Similar Products Used: Wharfedale Diamond 5 & Epos ES14. |

Strength:
accomdating amp. work well with solid state & tube amp.
Weakness:
High freuency is slightly bright too my taste but acceptable to most of my friends. It was in my plan to upgrade from a book shelf speaker to a floor stander. Similar Products Used: dynaudio, sonus faber. |

At US$950, the Primare L20 from Sweden is a rare gem of a speaker that gives width and height to recordings. Bass controt is excellent, and it's easy to drive. A definate five stars. |
