As a long-standing Tannoy fan, I may be a little biased, but these are simply stunning. Aside from the fact that they are beautiful to look at (in my opinion), the sound is remarkable. I have owned mine for a few years now, from new, and have never failed to be impressed by the dynamics, the soundstage, and the sheer size of the presentation. Yes, you are going to need a decent system to bring out the best, and don't skimp on cables! I also made a slight modification in that I stopped using one of the back feet, so it's now a three-footed design in essence, helping stability. Also, you will need to spend some time positioning them - I found even tiny changes to toe-in angles made a significant difference, as did vertical angle, albeit to a lesser degree.

Need careful positioning, with some trial and error.
