Strength:

Precise imaging, minimal coloration, effortless full spectrum sound and a great value.

Weakness:

none

My first concern was buying Ty's speakers unheard; I was apprehensive. I wanted the imaging that the unbaffled tweeter, as the B&W can provide and the flat frequency response the crossoverless Reference 3As provide. I prefer the appearance of the Proac style box. The Taylo Reference Monitors provided all of this and more: there is now life in my music.

This site helped my decision.

I am completely satisfied. Ty Lashbrook was a marvel at customer service. I would buy from him again.

One of his distributors (Portland) will cooperate with "trials" and MSRP is a flexible matter with the dealers I spoke with.

Thanks Ty.
Jim.

Strength:

Soundstage. Midrange and highs.

Weakness:

Bass.

These are excellent minimonitors. I have had mine for about 7 months now and they are just beginning to break in. The soundstage is large. They are very inviting and musical. The midrange is sweet and the highs are detailed without being bright. The bass is not very deep but the quality of the bass that is there is nice tight without being boomy. I really don't miss the bass when I listen to these. I find myself wanting to listen to these rather than my reference setup. These are definately engaging speakers.

If you are in the market for monitors definately consider them although they are a bit pricey.

I am running the following equipment

Audio Analogue Puccini Integrated Amp SE
EAD Ultradisc 2000 CD player
Harmonic Tech Pro 11 and Truth Link Interconnects.

Strength:

Transparent and open sound. Excellent detail and palpability, imaging, immediacy and solid 3d soundscape.

Weakness:

None

I initially had reservation about buying speakers from a relatively new and unknown company (won't be unknown for long). I'm glad I went ahead since in my opinion it's the best mini monitor money can buy. These speakers standout from the usual suspects. I have never heard a more detailed and resolving speaker. The speaker has the ability of presenting an exaordinary amount of detail but at the same time without calling attention to itself. The musicality and naturalness is not sacrificed.

The robust built of the cabinets are evident in its weight, significantly heavier than its competitors. The furniture quality veneering and finish, top line drivers and cross-over components are also plusses.

Also, living in Hawaii, I do alot of mail order transactions. Ty was very responsive, friendly and made this the easiest and most worry free purchase. Tyler Acoustics may be the best kept secret in high end audio, but I don't think for long.
