Strength:
Too many to mention
Weakness:
none so far This is the old Parsifal (before the encore). This is an amazing speaker. It has one of the best midranges I have ever heard. The bass is remarkably detailed, taught, and extended. This is good value for money. I heard the Fidelio and was also very impressed. This is one of the finest speakers on the market. |

I listened to these and while they're impressuive for acoustic or orchestral music, they lacked dynamics and punch, and did not do well at Rock. I imagine they would also suffer in a HT environment. |

About the parsifal encore. For the price, the smallish size of the speaker may look deceiving to those accustomed to mamoth-sized gear...until you hear them play. The true feat of the parsifal is that you get no-compromise sound, style and cabinetry, in a package you can live with and that still leave space for luxuries such as a sofa or t.v. set.....Mind you, many people have the space to accomodate giant speakers. The fact is that the quality of components, the superb design ( woofer can be fired from front or back with a simple twist, off the granite spacer ), and the emotion generated from playing my favortite cd's make the Parsifal a fabulous value for the money. Scrape the money, you will buy them with a smile, and keep them for life. They're that good. |

If you are considering an 11k to 20k spkr. purchase and you dont seek these spkrs out you will miss a great -musical- experience. The upgrade to the Encore version is well worth the xtra cash. The midrange covers 80% of the spectrum and its is as open, airy, detailed and listenable a spkr as I have ever owned. The finish is as good or better than Wilson products. After several conversations with the designer I feel very comfortable saying this is a final purchase of speakers for me. The Utopias are better. got 70k lying around! |
