Strength:

Excellent Treble through tweeters. Banana clip-type wire posts.

Weakness:

Poor quality plastic and fake wood. Small midrange magnets.

Using these pups for the rear channel. Late at night, my car alarm starts blaring. I jump up from the couch and wham! The speaker falls off of its stand from a few feet high. All kinds of rattling sounds coming from inside. Soooo.... I tear it apart and... Broken pieces everywhere. Don't worry, these aren't sealed speakers, so the there's just some cheap screws imbedded into the particle board. And yes, all plastic housing which accepts the wood screws. Very flimsy, very cheaply made. I assembled the speaker using super high compound glue and it works perfectly. I am still troubled by the inner workings. Looks really cheap in there. Get what you pay for.

Strength:

Sounds much, much bigger than it is.

Weakness:

occasional "snap" sound when overloaded

I have been a long-time fan of Wharfedale products, and I even have a pair of E-90s from way back when. The 7.2 are a terrific value and not a day goes by that a regret owning them. Visitors often insist that I have a sub-woofer hidden some where when we listen to them

Strength:

Small size, sound

I needed a small pair of speakers to place with a second reciever I own. I had a pair of JBL HLS-610's and decided I needed something smaller. I bought the Wharfedale Diamond 7.2's and found they fit my need perfectly. They sound much bigger than they actually are. I can not beleive the sound quality that these small speakers can create. If you are looking for a small speaker that still has some bass these speakers are great. I have listened to Jazz, Classical, and Rock on these speakers. They all sound great.

Strength:

Good control! You can listen a very long time without getting tired.

Weakness:

lack of bass! A sub would be great!

If you looking for a good bookshelf speaker for a decent sum of money then you should take a good look at these. I did, and I don´t regret it.
