Tweeter: 9, Midrange:9, Bass:10 After years of suffering from listening to music with my pathetic Philips DVD Home Theatre (NZ$150), BOSE Portable Soundock (NZ$500) and Sony Soundbar HT-Z9RF (NZ$1800) I finally decided to search for a used speaker and amp in our local online shopping here in NZ called Trademe. I kept my budget within NZ$500 for speakers and amplifier as I was only going to use it purely for listening to music using my iPod Classic. After doing my research online of what best suits for my needs, I decided to go for Floor-Standing Speakers and an Amp with an iPod usb interface. The list came down between Wharfedale and B&W for speskers and between Denon and Onkyo for amps, unfortunately my budget could only afford Wharfedale. Hence found this Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 and paired with Onkyo TX-NR616........... the result was WoW!!!! For a total of NZ$600 for both speakers ad amp, I was blown away by the results! I've been hearing sounds I couldn't hear with the Bose Soundock and Soundbar! Listening to Sting's "It's Probably Me" [acoustic version] was mesmerizing, Depeche Mode's "Condemnation" felt like I was part of the procession on the music video and to give it a really Bass workout, I played the entire VCMG "SSSS" Album (Vince Clarke & Martin Gore), not a single crack or loss on Bass even when I cranked the volume at 75 on the Onkyo (max vol is 99). My living room was already rumbling in Seismic 10 Scale (Mega Quake)! Very very very very happy.... did I already mention very?

So far I could not find any weakness...
