None I bought these on the internet for $39 apiece and I got two merak mt66 ($29 a piece) for the surrounds. I got these two days ago and I am currently breaking them in along with the mt66's. I got these because of the price. I got the for under 40 and on amazon they are selling for 400-450 for a pair so I couldnt pass it up. I bought a pioneer thx ultra reciever with 5X100 watts power for 300 plus shipping. The only thing I am going to use from my old speakers is my sub. I also got the emerald center channel for around 50. So I will have one bad ass system for under $700 thats un heard of. My friends are jealous knowing what I got at such a low price. The em95's are a very solid speaker and if you can get them for what I did buy them its a deal. Similar Products Used: MERAK MT66 |

Strength:
Solid design and finish, well balance between bass and treble. Reasonalbe price for what you get.
Weakness:
Bass sound is not every tight, I have to use equalizer to adjust it. This speaker was designed with a distinctly art-deco feel, s from the new Emerald range are built into a real wood cabinet, producing a rich, warm sound, steeped in emotion. Strength:
Rosewood veneer finish is high gloss and high quality.
Weakness:
This is a two-way speaker and thus it does not have a separate mid-range driver. Nevertheless, the overall sound quality is balanced not harsh. The bass is warm without being muddy. This is a fine speaker! I would be amenable to paying up to |

Strength:
Very well balanced and free from any nasties. Gorgeous design and finish.
Weakness:
Keep that bass port from the rear wall! Can't go stupidly loud only very very loud. Vunerable fixings for grille cloth. Treat them with care. I bought these speakers purely on account of a fantastic deal on them at Richer Sounds. I wanted a pair of floorstanders as I was unhappy with the capabilities of a pair of Advent speakers my wife had bought with her from the States. I own also a small pair of Mission 780's which are good speakers but limited in scale. I hooked the speakers to my pair of RB850's and must admit to being gobsmacked. The sense of authority and the sheer detail was immediate and surprising. For £119.95 I knew that I had finally found the ultimate hi fi bargain. I could not find any reviews anywhere so I have had to trust my own judgement. They are very clear and detailed and essentially neutral but in an domestic hifi way. You would not mistake them for studio monitors! Similar Products Used: Mordaunt Short MS 206's and 208's. |

Weakness:
Finish not brill- grill cloth a tad boring i work in a hifi shop where we're flogging these 90cm tall towers for £199. I believe RRp is about £450. They are the best sounding floorstanders that we do. And we do £900 Mission 705 Actives. And £350 Tannoy R2s. Similar Products Used: Mission 702e, Wharfedale Sp85 |
