Strength:
Unique - disappear in a room
Weakness:
No support for the wire and could be pulled out easily. Got these for my wifes work room. They perform well for her music and dvd setup. The subwoofer makes them sound good. They would be great rear speakers for a 5.1 setup - including the subwoofer. I don''t think that they would work very well as fronts for a quality system - but for casual use they are fine. Looks neat, discreet. Great for light listening.
Weakness:
Not for use in HT. Problem I had was one speaker rattled badly (internally) when raising the volume. Took it apart, and discovered the two 1.5" transducers that is supposedly be glued behind the white panel came unglued. Hot-glue gunned it and viola, back in business. Bought these many years ago, purely based on the looks. Initially, I used this as front effects speakers with my Yamaha DSP-A1 in my HT, but due to my theater subs (two 15" Klipsch subs) rattled it too much; obviously these did not work (oh btw, replaced them with NHT inwalls). Stored these for couple of years. Took them out last week and put them by my bed. Sounds great for mood music :) |

Will impress the hell out of your guests!
Weakness:
SOUND QUALITY! Small connectors - can't use banana plugs or spades; forced to buy reduction pins for low gauge wire. Just brought these home 10 minutes ago. The sound quality on these speakers is literally laughable compared to my B&W Rock Solid fronts and Klipsch KSC-C1 center. Comparable to Cambridge Soundworks Soundworks Digital computer speakers I've used. They are also weak. I unplugged my B&Ws and connected these speakers, but I had to pump the volume up from 20 to 35! Do NOT buy these speakers thinking you'll get decent main speakers for any purpose. A much better alternative for this purpose would be the Wharfedale Diamond Anniversary 7.2. I had these for a couple weeks (one shipped with a busted tweeter so I sent them back) and I was extremely impressed with the clarity and power from these bookshelves (and at a mere $75 + shipping brand new from eBay!). Anyhow, I'm going to use these as my rear channel speakers, for which I think they will work just fine, considering the wow factor, which leads me to my next point. The positive feature of these speakers are, of course, their stylish design. Everyone at my workplace was amazed that there were two speakers inside of the < 2 lb. box that was delivered, and I can't count the number of "That's so cool!" remarks I got from my roommates. I also have no place to put bookshelf speakers in my HT set up and don't want to spring for towers just for the rear channel, so these are perfect for my purpose. For the price I paid for these ($50 + rip-off shipping from uBid) I certainly can't complain, considering ALL things. However, if these were regular bookshelf speakers I'd have to say I'd be quite disappointed. I took the ratings on this site the wrong way, not assuming that most of the points awarded were for style - not quality. I can't rate the sub as I have not used it yet. |

Good for what it is Hooked up to an old sony in my workshop they sounded terrible. I brought them to my patio where I have a Nad Amp and these little puppies came to life. I think they like it around 20 watts. Not to bad. For a $100 shipped to my door it was worth it. |

See my review below (and others)
Weakness:
not a real stereo speaker setup for a purist.. hard to hide the wire. should have had optional holes punched in already to hang horizontally OK I will say these are about the best (surround speakers) rear channel.. speakers for the buck you can buy. Wouldnt use them as fronts on any high-end system. see my review below. I want to say I had Mission 77ds as rears and although they are a very good (dedicated) rear bi-polar set of speakers... the loud panels seem to do a better job. The non-directionality of the loud panels rivals the bipolars for sonic spaciality. You arent constrained by placement requirements and you now have the option of 4(5) channel stereo listening.. if your into that. Do whatever you have to do to hide the wires.. get some decent prints to put in the frames that match your room decor. and your all set at about 1/4th the cost of the Mission Bi-polars. I really dont recommend these speakers as mains (fronts) for anything other that.. bedroom, rumpus room, or the kids room speakers. but if you have limited space, limited economic resources, or your just a plain tight ass with a tin ear. then these are the puppies you want. As a set of HT rears channel speakers a 4+.. as anything else a 3 Similar Products Used: NA |

Strength:
Discreet, highly musical, affordable NXT technology
Weakness:
Careful positioning required, spring-clips on loudpanels, one size only Having caught my imagination several years ago when flat speakers were introduced to the consumer market, it was only a matter of time before I purchased a pair. Requiring more bass but unable to find suitable floor space for stand mounters/floor standers I took the plunge. Similar Products Used: Upgraded from Mordaunt-Short MS3.10 |

Great highs and mid range. Space saver baby!!!
Weakness:
The bass is very sluggish and weak These are the best value for the money I can find. I got the component set for $190 shipped out the door from a helpful frined on the net. They are awesome and are currently being used as my computer speakers with my JVC horrible amp. Even though it is bad it still doesn't matter. These speakers only need about 40 watts per channel! They like about 60 watts, but less is fine with these babies. I recommened them to all types of listners, even though bass is weak. Similar Products Used: None I can think of |

Cheaply constructed plastic pieces of garbage!!! Who hangs plastic picture frames in their house? My review is probably somewhat skewed as the rest of my systems include the likes of the B&W Nautilus line, Cary, etc... Similar Products Used: Cheapo computer speakers |
