All the people who wrote the reviews below are total loosers. Don't you people understand that anyone who owns these speakers already has a Porsche, a Ferrari, and a summer home, etc.? Why is it so ridiculous to spend $150,000 or more on a pair of speakers? People have spent more on jewelry - which is just some stones on a chain, that don't even do anything. Clearly all you loosers are just jealous that someone can actually afford these speakers, since most of you can't even afford the speaker cable that these speakers come with. This is what separates the men from the boys - men have $500,000 sound systems, and the boys play with Polk and Bose.

These loudspeakers I can appreciate. I own a POS Sony midi system and am so convinced that my future will entail the purchasing of such awesome modular monitors that I am so snobbish about what I will ever buy. Unless fate takes my side and I end up with enough cash to purchase a pair of Kharma Grande Enigma's then I will have to settle for the less expensive WAMM's. Genesis 1.1's take my interest aswell. I was in NYC last year to see the Sound by Singer show rooms and was extremely impressed by the Grande Slamms that I am certain of the WAMM's potential. If you don't like paying big bucks for class audio then you don't appreciate your music enough to want to feel the power and the quality that these products emulate. Good Work Wilson

Ok, I totally agree with Redrover, but I'm going to rate these a 5 because if any company has the balls to charge $150 large for speakers, they BETTER sound good. But, I cannot even imagine having the time or the patience to sit in one spot with my eyes closed (which at least one owner apparently does) and go through all my CD's on my $450,000 system. If you even need to impress yourself that much, you need LOTS of help and: you either have WAY to much free time and absolutely NO life, or you are so concerned with self image that you would go broke trying to sustain it (a particular problem in L.A. I'm told). I mean do these speakers really bring that much "extra" pleasure to your ears? I mean we are talking exponential money to bring about a tiny fraction of better sound than some $5-$6000 speakers. And another thing, Dolby (yeah the movie sound people) use Polks for their mains and surrounds in their main screening room (and the people who work in that room are as serious as a heart attack about sonic accuracy). Their entire speaker setup in that room would cost less than $150,000.

Was kind of weak as main speakers in my home stereo, so I hooked them up as my PC speakers. Gaming will never be the same!

I originally hooked up these WAMMs to my home stereo to see what all the hype was about. They were okay performers, but for $150k, they disappointed. So I decided to use them with my Pentium 4 1.5Ghz PC. I have a Sound Blaster Live audio card, and I'm powering the speakers with a vintage McIntosh stereo tube amp that I took from my daddy's room. I'm using Cardas Golden Reference interconnects and Magnan speaker cable.

I booted up my PC and started up Quake III. Wow! This game sounded so much better with the WAMMs compared to my previous setup (Labtec CS1000s). The sound stage was so perfect, the imaging so pinpoint and accurate. Perfect separation of lows, mids, highs, guns, and grenades.

My next test was CounterStrike. Oh my Lord! I started hearing sounds I never heard before. When changing weapons from the sniper rifle to the machine gun, I use to hear a clah-ching. Now it's more like a clah-chang. The moans from the deceased now sound much more transparent and the sound of the ammo shells hitting the ground sound much more neutral.

My final test was Diablo II. I usually skip the opening movie, but I wanted to take the WAMMs to the limit, so I let it run. I can't describe what a great experience the opening movie was. I thought DVD movies sounded nice...Paired with a nice Runco HDTV projector, the WAMMs deliver the ultimate gaming experience! Highly recommended for the super rich.

I have to agree and disagree with Todd Creeks. Yes, these are damn fine speakers. personally, I don't find them that ugly. But holy cow! These things cost too darn much. I don't have a cash flow problem, but, I really felt guilty buying these. I think the majority of the money is spent on the name and reputation, and only about $2000 on the sound. I think I'm going to switch back to Martin Logan.

These speakers sound god awful! I think I am going to go into business for myself; slap a stupid name on a piece of cheap particle board, line the pockets of all the real stereo reviewers out there and make a 10000% profit on the sale of each piece of garbage speaker I can make. If you bought this speaker, even if you make a 9 figure salary you really need to have your head examined.
