I was looking for a set of speakers to only play music. The Jamo s608 speakers are by far the best set of speakers in this price range. I only wanted two speakers and nothing more. As for modern day amplifiers and receivers anything other than high end stuff is just rubbish. Onkyo have never made anything worth listening to and Denon are not much better Yamaha and Pioneer are the same. I power my s608's by a 1978 Hitachi 903 G Class receiver it cost me next to nothing and the sound is insane. I could go on into ridiculous detail but why bother at this price range it's all about power and clarity and my set up has more of both than any of the modern day set ups without a doubt.

For S608 Every details is going into your heart. Listen to it when you have free time not in a rush. If you guys want to set this Jamo for HT my suggestion is using some strong Denon AV powering from 110 W per channel.
If you you are looking for a budget speakers system, go for the Jamo 608 for front and for rear Jamo s606 and for center Jamo C 80 CEN and the sound is briliant!!!! If you don´t have the money, wait for one or two months and buy it.

This S608 sounds the best when you pair them with Denon Amplifier. The Jamo bass is always breathless a bit with the Yamaha and suffocated with the Pioneer. But Yamaha is in return melted your heart when paring it with the JBLs.

For S608 Every details is going into your heart. Listen to it when you have free time not in a rush. If you guys want to set this Jamo for HT my suggestion is using some strong Denon AV powering from 95 W per channel.

The Jamo S608 is going to work perfectly in the average rooms around 60 SQM. Add a good SW if you want it to perform in a large open living room. Good luck and enjoy.

Useless system. Waste of money. Not good with Onkyo tx-sr608 receiver. There is no detailed sound output with these speakers. The passive radiators are sounding horrible bass effect.

I spent 4 months looking for a system that was worth it the money i wanted to spend, at the range of 500€>1000€, this Jamo S 608 were the best, i listen to KEF, Harmon Kardon, JBL, Pioneer, even the Jamo S 606 (lot of bass, lack of vocals and hifi sound), other brands and models, but the 608 were the best, good vocals, controled bass, guitar sounds like a guitar, a piano sounds like a piano... I paired this Jamo 608 with the Onkyo 608 amp (fornt speakers bi amp) and a Jamo sub 650 wich cost me 400€ (worth it every euro), there are people saying that with these speakers there are no need for a sub, i agree if its just to listen music, but for movies you need a GOOD sub, the jamo s 608 front speakers goes down a 42HZ, for me it´s not enough for movies, the Jamo sub 650 goes a deep quality 22HZ.
If you you are looking for a budget speakers system, go for the Jamo 608, if you don´t have the money, wait for one or two months, but don´t buy the Jamo 606, they don´t match the 608, the 608 sound more HIFI. Hope i helped.
